(help) how do i root and recovery

hi just got the device yesterday and i read and read but i still dont get it how do i root and instill recovery i see must links dont work

I can only tell you that you can download the Z4root and try it on you phone

Download a recovery image, boot the device in to the bootloader, and flash the recovery image. No need to root first.

There are plenty of guides in the forum on how to do that.
