Guest Davidoff59 Posted July 15, 2012 Report Posted July 15, 2012 I would have expected a release if it was usable, not just a preview
Guest NeostarNeko Posted July 15, 2012 Report Posted July 15, 2012 looks good, though you lot need to give him time to fix things :) :P
Guest eirlysbill1 Posted July 17, 2012 Report Posted July 17, 2012 this is encouraging: http://www.trustedreviews.com/news/android-4-1-jelly-bean-is-hard-to-crack-says-security-expert think its true?

Guest unaszplodrmann Posted July 18, 2012 Report Posted July 18, 2012 Im really looking forward to use cm10 :-P Don't hold your breath! ;-P
Guest fr0do Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 The next few days , I will release RIL Any news qiwu?
Guest Dazzozo Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 Any news qiwu? He's been active, don't worry about that. No RIL though. I would personally rather be told he won't release it than fobbed off.
Guest Hans Gruber Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 Will these sort of problems be resolved if/when Huawei releases the kernel source?
Guest zula Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 But he'll realising a rom or something or he's keeping the RIL for nothing? I can't understand this behaviour... if he release it everyone would recognize his achievement... isn't that the proposal of the android comunnity or he expects to get some money??
Guest Dazzozo Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 Will these sort of problems be resolved if/when Huawei releases the kernel source? It has the potential to solve some problems but not the RIL implementation. That requires actual reversing in the community in some form or another. Personally I'm not versed in the ins and outs of Qualcomm RIL.
Guest Hans Gruber Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 I wish I knew something about it to help out :/
Guest Dazzozo Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 Right. Here's an actual build. Things are fixed, things are broken. RIL is still broken and the Phone app is completely missing to prevent constant crashing of telephony, sorry guys. Edit: I also might have OpenGL working on the stock ROM, hang on...
Guest Hans Gruber Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 (edited) Awesome. Is this for the new or old baseband? (Presumably new if RIL isn't working doh! :P) Edited July 21, 2012 by Hans Gruber
Guest Hpez Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 Edit: I also might have OpenGL working on the stock ROM, hang on... Oh?
Guest Dazzozo Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 It can almost be done for the stock ROM but obviously as I'm hacking an already compiled ROM... yeah. Things I need to change causes problems elsewhere. When CM10 gets a little better I think I've got a solution to it. I don't think we'll be seeing it on a stock ROM though, unless I get employed by Huawei. :P
Guest grmn Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 Will getting OpenGL fixed suffice to get project butter working?
Guest Dazzozo Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 Project Butter isn't a "thing". There's nothing to get working, it's just a set of changes. They are dependent on OpenGL acceleration being there in the first place, though.
Guest timfimjim Posted July 21, 2012 Report Posted July 21, 2012 Hey that sounds great, can't wait to try out CM10. Big thanks to the devs!
Guest dfvt Posted July 22, 2012 Report Posted July 22, 2012 Right. Here's an actual build. Things are fixed, things are broken. RIL is still broken and the Phone app is completely missing to prevent constant crashing of telephony, sorry guys. Edit: I also might have OpenGL working on the stock ROM, hang on... awesome, nice work
Guest buddn07 Posted July 22, 2012 Report Posted July 22, 2012 What baseband is this using? I'm currently running the b927 zip flashed through cwm. Is it OK to flash this over the top (after backup and wipe) for a play around?
Guest Dazzozo Posted July 22, 2012 Report Posted July 22, 2012 My build? It's irrelevant as RIL doesn't work on either baseband.
