[JB] [CM10] ColdFusionX 2 for the ZTE Skate [UPDATED - 19/11]

No. This is just a small part of it. Huge amount of other debugging is disabled but you won't find this on my github since I done it couple of months ago when I didn't have github yet...

There is also a difference in overclocking part comapring it to tilal's one. So this could be another reason why it performs better in benchmarks.

So the kernel source(s) in your github doesn't match the binaries you're distributing. You better do something about that before someone gets GPL on your ass. :P

But the right one is overclocked and the left one isn't.

Good point.

Konsta, you didn't ge that.

I mean you won't find specific commits what and when was changed.

But of course, my binaries are pretty inline with github sources.

JB branch is still locally though and will be comitted soon.

And if we talk about binary vs sources... Look at ZTE bastards.

They release source for Skate back in September 2011.

Since then there is a lot of newer models with different touchscreens, sensors, etc...

But no source code released...

But the right one is overclocked and the left one isn't.

Everything's in one CPU frequency table. This makes no difference if you are overclocked or not since

values for lower frequencies (axi, ahb) can be tweaked, too.

No problem. I had to use latest video drivers (especially msm framebuffer) from your original JB kernel anyway to make it work!

Since with the default drivers screen was stuck at green robot logo even if system booted properly.

Adding just triple FB didn't help (jumpy picture). I had to update everything inside drivers/video/msm...

Also it would be cool if anybody could test it for couple of days how's battery life and stability.

Testers can contact be by PM - I will provide flashable zip as soon as I have one ready.

I'd like to test it , just send it to me and I'll flash the rom tomorrow .

Hello, I am new here, I installed you ICS version just days before you said that support is discontinued and you going over to JB (great work with the ICS btw). Is there any chance you will be able to fix the camera completely and add native wifi tether to JB?

Everything is possible, but we need to see what happens, and when it happens. Give the developer time to work on this. JB on Skate is still considered experimental.

However, Camera Flash will most probably never work, and since native wifi tethering didn't work on ICS, I assume it will also be near impossible on JB.

In the first topic. Just go like 83 pages back and you'll find it.

I don't see any 09/19, Goo.im already showing 09/16

Anyway, are we going to receive updates via OTA?

Don't worry - I dropped mine in a river and with a couple of days in rice it was fine. Lol ironically proximity sensor, which wasn't working before that point started doing so.

@KonstaT

Thank you, that was exactly what I was looking for.

@Tilal

I tested JB for quite some time now and must say that it really runs very smooth,

I only had a problem once, when I dialed a number and wanted to activate the speaker-mode. The phone immediatly rebooted. The second time it worked perfectly.

I will be back

Hahaha, thats so funny. But I would try Schwarzenegger instead! ;)

The Apollo can't pick up music from sdcard and the gallery can't pick up the photos too , I can't set the mp3 file on the sdcard as ringtone, why the sdcard was mounted as /storage/sdcard0 while it was mounted as /mnt/sdcard in other roms?

And the automatic brightness doesn't work fine - sometime it works but sometime it doesn't work at all .

I have installed 19/09 but the GPS symbol is constantly showing on the top left. The battery life is also abysmal. I presume the two are related.

Within Location Services, I have:

  • "Google's location service" and "GPS satellites" enabled
  • "Location & Google search" disabled

If I disable all three, I can no longer use Google's Maps etc.

Any ideas?

You can ensure the GPS symbol gets away by opening Google Maps and then exit it. You might want to let it run for a minute or two before stopping it. That always works for me...
