Mostly works, just need to scale framework and system ui for it to work fully, as doesn't get past skatie screen, despite sitting for around 5 minutes

Ok, upload that and I'll logcat it some time in the next few days. It might just be that there are no hdpi drawables; what is the ro.sf.hw.density (or whatever it is) in build.prop?

Try changing the dpi to the Ace's first, if it's not already.

OK, what is the ace's dpi?

I was hoping you'd know lol.

It's 165dpi according to gsmarena

Sorry to be a pain, but could I have a perl script to repack a kernel too please C3C0

I don't have my notebook by me ATM. But basically you need 2. One for repacking the ramdisk (if you unpacked and made changes) and one for creating the final img.

Try Google code. Or search your OS repository (apt if on Ubuntu)

Repacked ramdisk, using a raspberry pi on debian, so apt should work, right?

Have you got yaffs2utils?

mkyaffs2 <unpacked dir> boot.img[/code]

No, where can I get it? And by upacked dir do you mean where ramdisk and boot-kernel are?

I tried it, and all I got was a string of errors :(

Why do you want to port Galaxy ACE rom, what is the additional features in it?

It looks like WP7. Could it be that Framework Res and SystemUI are refusing to scale and hence the rom won't boot?

No, it really isn't. Can't install anything unless you have 8/16 gb sd card. How can I logcat on xp?
