Guest b4da55 Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 926 bb than cwn everything else Uk Ill test Had 1 reboot in 04 but none since and im a v.heavy user
Guest Higgy69 Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 My route (or is that root! :P): Upgraded to latest official UK OTA 892 or whatever it is from 88? - straight out of the box Then CN 926 (for HSPA:11) Then I think to stock 934 rather than straight to Infusion. - all without adding any additional apps. Then to Infusion B04 (I thought Google Now seemed to work ok) Then about two days later to B05 Camera seems ok. Google Goggles & Shop Savvy has worked when I have tried. I noticed one reboot on B04. B05 has been running over 3 days now (on same battery charge!!) with no reboot I have noticed.
Guest Colin Whiteside Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 flash this patch.zip forgot about the problems with stock mms.apk as i use GOsms I've flashed the patch and all seems to be working fine! Out of curiosity, what were the sources of the problems with the stock app?
Guest tcpaulh Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 I did that 3 days ago lol Did full wipe, flashed b934 repack, then wipe again and flash infusion b05. Maybe you haven't formatted 'system' in cwm for a while and it's full?
Guest TangerineTractor Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 (edited) Maybe you haven't formatted 'system' in cwm for a while and it's full? I always do the "full" wipes before any flash, and never have any problems... some of it seems pointless, and some bits are probably unnecessary, but it only takes an extra thirty seconds... Wipe data/factory reset wipe cache go into mounts format system format data format cache back go into advanced wipe dalvik cache wipe battery stats then go back and install the rom. All you have to do is re-set up your google account and all your apps are restored. Most have settings backup options that you can just restore. Edited September 21, 2012 by TangerineTractor

All you have to do is re-set up your google account and all your apps are restored. Most have settings backup options that you can just restore. Some of it is unnecessary, I can't remember off the top of my head but for example when you do wipe data/factory reset it tells you what it's doing during the process and I'm pretty sure wiping cache, data is in it. So wiping it again after wouldn't do anything more. Formatting /system however isn't in the list of jobs done when you data/factory reset so doing that between roms is a good idea. Logically thinking about it, wipe data/factory reset is probably = wipe cache, format cache, format data so essentially: Wipe data/factory reset format system wipe dalvik cache wipe battery stats probably does the same thing. Guest tcpaulh Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 yup, and you dont need to wipe battery stats
Guest TangerineTractor Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 I agree, data and cahce are formated when you do a wipe, but for the ten seconds it takes to do format data and format cache again, I figure why the hell not.
Guest feckineejit Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 Updated from B04 to B05 a few hours ago and just had a reboot about 5 mins ago while browsing this site and listening to the radio.
Guest tillaz Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 I did that 3 days ago lol Did full wipe, flashed b934 repack, then wipe again and flash infusion b05. The force close is for some reason, is not about some java error? I saw something about it in the logcat The problem is, if i reboot the system, it works perfectly about 1 or 2 hours, then go again to the same. Could be something or some app deleting my camera code? i read your logcat, like i said, it says it cant load most of the code for the camera because its missing java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.huawei.hwextcamera.HwExtCamera this means its cant find the above .smali code (classes.dex) all i can recommend is doing a popper full wipe, as the camera is working fine here
Guest tillaz Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 I've flashed the patch and all seems to be working fine! Out of curiosity, what were the sources of the problems with the stock app? because B926 had a dodgy way of doing things, this file > mms_config.xml is not inside the mms.apk where it should be... they put this on the cust partition in an xml folder this caused problems as the cust partition is formatted when installing the rom, so iv been replacing the mms.apk since B926... looking at it now i think it was only a problem in B926
Guest degady64 Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 @tillaz From Romania: B926 - B934 - bo5. Everything worked properly. no freeze or auto restart. Very good job. Congratulation! Suggestion. The original Huawei "agenda" have more facilities than the bo5's (delete identical records, delete all agenda, etc). Can U include in Infusion? Question: Where I can find it to upload and use again? Or a suggestion for another good aplication?

Thanks a lot i might have to do the same thing, can i just use this http://www.modaco.com/topic/356515-stock-rom-stock-b934-flashable-zip/ or do i have to do a sd card update?
Guest babitzy Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 (edited) Like degady64 pointed out, it would be wonderful to have the stock huawei phone and people apps from gingerbread. not sure if it's possible, at least something similar. Another thing is that when people call me it displays first the number and only after 8-9 seconds it shows me the name of the person from the agenda. You are doing a great job. Your ROM is very smooth Edited September 21, 2012 by babitzy
