Guest ncnm Posted September 27, 2012 Report Posted September 27, 2012 I have a very huge doubt it seems more logical for me to have the OS installed on internal storage and use SDcard 16Gb (or whatever) for user stuff, just like using windows or linux in c: and user data in d:. you know, seperate. After installing B06 i have internal storage empty with only 3 folders and the rest it's all mixed up on the SDcard. Before my SDcard 16Gb would be sdcard2, now it's sdcard wich is the same where android is installed. Question: why would people want to install Android system in SDcard 16Gb??? Is that the way it's supposed?? Question: If i install another ROM or version of infusion and do a format system, will i loose everything? I'm almost sure that i will i like operating system on sdcard(internal storage) and user stuff on sdcard2 which is my SDcard 16GB. I have every thing backed up so no problem. thanks in advance No problems with the rom, just like to have the option to install it in internal storage cheers

Guest b4da55 Posted September 27, 2012 Report Posted September 27, 2012 I used to get it on cm9 unofficial on zte crescent.it was a issue with how it was made I think. Daz built and fixed it
Guest edwardecl Posted September 27, 2012 Report Posted September 27, 2012 Tillaz, The data roaming thing I think was a problem with the Chinese ICS ROM I used I just thought it was because it was not a proper release... maybe you are right, not a bug as such but a major annoyance and an ICS bug for sure. I'm pretty sure that the stock and upgraded gingerbread roms didn't have this unwanted feature though, there must be some way of editing the default settings, or is it generated by the OS at boot or something? if so that sucks :(. One thing though, all the wallpapers seem to be missing and I've only got one live wallpaper. Not a major issue but need to find some :D.
Guest peroanjo Posted September 27, 2012 Report Posted September 27, 2012 I can't update from B04 to B06 vÃa OTA. Does anyone have any solution?
Guest jgbyr Posted September 27, 2012 Report Posted September 27, 2012 It has been mentioned numerous times. B6 is not available ota.
Guest theShire Posted September 27, 2012 Report Posted September 27, 2012 (edited) Anyone know where the default Infusion wallpaper is stored? I changed my background but now I want to change back and it doesn't appear in gallery or wallpaper options EDIT: just found this http://www.modaco.com/topic/355994-rom-ics-infusion-updated-25092012-b06/page__view__findpost__p__2019333 so it looks like once it's changed then it's gone unless you download the attached image and apply it manually Edited September 27, 2012 by theShire

The android system is not installed to the sd card that's just silly to even consider as the main OS.

Guest tillaz Posted September 27, 2012 Report Posted September 27, 2012 @Tillaz 2G download speeds with INFUSION only 3/6kbps (pretty much unusable for apps and internet) 3G speeds 300/700kbps (depending on what the networks like) 2G download speeds with 927 Repack zip 20/40kbps 3G speeds 1700/2800kbps using speedtest app from the market..Any ideas why this is the case Thx....... i have not changed anything regarding data speeds, and as long as i have been using internet on all my phones (with t-mobile) 2g speeds have always been around 5kbs 3g 50/kbs HSPA 500kbs what baseband are you using? SET SDCARD AS DEFAULT STORAGE > PATCH I don't know what this fix do but i can't install it, gives me this error: "Finding update package... Opening update package... E: can't open /sdcard/storage-fix.zip (bad) Installation aborted" I got the same error with the launcher fix...and with all zips that i've tried (ex googleapps). Need help please! I've tried to wipe everything again, i even flash infusion again but keep getting this error. sometimes i'm able to install storage-fix.zip but when i try the launcher-fix.zip i get the same error. I can't flash other zips (like huawei allbackup.zip) from CWM, always the same error. Can someone tell me what this fixs do exactly? Need help please! this is a problem with your sdcard not copying the zip properly... try renaming it then adding to the sdcard i used to get this a lot... i would backup your card then format it I have a very huge doubt it seems more logical for me to have the OS installed on internal storage and use SDcard 16Gb (or whatever) for user stuff, just like using windows or linux in c: and user data in d:. you know, seperate. Guest smokinjoe18 Posted September 27, 2012 Report Posted September 27, 2012 (edited) i have not changed anything regarding data speeds, and as long as i have been using internet on all my phones (with t-mobile) 2g speeds have always been around 5kbs 3g 50/kbs HSPA 500kbs what baseband are you using? My quoted speeds are kbps and you seem to be quoting kB just a division of 10 lol As i said my 3G is fine but 2G (gprs) is as you would say 0.3 kB which is unusable everything times out, I upgraded to ICS thru the 926 chinese method and have had no issues with all your ROM updates apart from this issue (no reboots, camera or F/C's etc) I've tried all other ROM's with the same problem so I was convinced it was a network problem BUT I flashed 927 repack zip and my speed shot up to 3/4kB so i thought it was sorted and reverted back to Infusion but unfortunately had the same results so flashed back to 927 and Voila back up to 3/4 kB so just thought i test your brain as to see if you had an inckling to why i'm at a loss any ideas welcome thx Tillaz this ROM is Brilliant Edited September 27, 2012 by smokinjoe18
