Guest holtend Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 I just tried your new fix and it doesn't work for me mate. The default storage is internal with no option to change it. The SD card shows up at bottom but can't be read by any app. And tried to take screenshots but got error as couldn't save them.
Guest holtend Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 think i have finally found a way to stop the sdcard reverting to internal (without braking the option of moving apps to sdcard) if anyone with the problem would like to test, here are the files \/ sdcard-fix.zip to test this accurately you should first make a nandroid backup (we need to do a full wipe) now reinstall infusion with a full wipe... and straight after flash the sdcard-fix.zip reboot and see if it worked ;) I've got an update to my above post... I followed the steps mentioned and as I've already said this didn't work for me, but I experienced further issues when trying to restore my backup. I rebooted into recovery and went to restore my backup but CWM spat an error saying no files to be found. I thought this was strange as there were should have been several different backups. I started to panic as I thought something had happened and recovery wouldn't work as I couldn't access the SD card... However when I tried to backup it worked and SD card was recognised, so I booted back into B06 and tried looking for missing backups with file manager but it said there were no files...not even the backup I'd just made. Rebooted to recovery again and went to install .zip, expecting nothing to be there, and to my relief some ROMs were there, so installed CM10 fine etc Rebooted and checked if SD card worked and YES it appeared :) But a lot of my files were missing, just seemed random....all videos were gone, but all music was still there. All ebooks were gone but all pictures were there. All the old CWM backups were gone as was titanium backup folder, but all files were in my box sync folder.... Another strangeity (think I just made that word up) was after flashing new CM I had to reenter sim unlock code... It just seemed completely random what was gone and what wasn't. Now I'm sure there is a good explanation for this but I just wanted to let people now so they could avoid my mistake :) I don't know why it happened, maybe the zip I flashed didn't like my SD card layout?? or if I had corrupted it somehow or whatever. Just glad I got it back up and running. I know to expect gremlins when flashing stuff and can't wait to flash the next update
Guest dan nedan Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 in all 940 ICS variants contact app is working noobie q: in order to fix contacts.app issues it is enough to change the older contact. app with a new good one? what should i read to learn more?
Guest Merwenus Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 Umm, google play is working well, installed a few apps from mobile, and clicked on devices at google.com/dashboard. Now everything is good finally. But I have another question about ICS. When I had GB widgets were "full Screen" but with ICS (936 stock too) i have a ~20 pixel wide border on every side. How can I make widgets fullscreen again, and remove this badword border? (btw who was that idiot, who thought it was a good idea?)
Guest Jamie :) Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 Tillaz, I'm just wondering, do you have a .zip for the stock Huawei camera? I'm on B06 and the camera is awful! Mine is out of focus all the time :/

Dunno what caused that. this is a bug found in all huawei stock roms... totally inaccurate battery readings... next time that happens reboot your phone, and the battery will normally increase by 20 or 30% lol

Guest Colin Whiteside Posted September 30, 2012 Report Posted September 30, 2012 Hey Tillaz, still running the previous version with the SMS patch you put up, and it's developed the SMS app problem again (crashing, not getting texts until you go into the SMS app, etc). Almost missed some very important stuff as a result! Also, at some point a few nights ago it seemed to have locked up for about 6 hours. Woke up with the battery run down from 60% to 14% and the battery graph showing no data for the majority of the past 8 hours, uptime down as only 45 minutes.

Guest Silvionix Posted September 30, 2012 Report Posted September 30, 2012 Hey guys , I have a problem , Last night i decided to watch a movie on my phone , Its a .flv video (Flash Video) i tried to watch it with MX Video Player , And about 30sec of the movie the phone reboot , I thought its a problem with the player so i tried it with the VPlayer , The same , Then i tried to watch a normal .mp4 or a recored video by me , It worked fine , Just with that .flv movie is the phone rebooting ... Anyone experienced this problem ?
Guest Dellboy2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Report Posted September 30, 2012 It' probably faulty flv file.
Guest Higgy69 Posted September 30, 2012 Report Posted September 30, 2012 Nice work Dan Nedan on finding that 940 contacts works. Maybe tillaz is looking at adding it to the new upload? fingers crossed. It is a shame the whole apps2card/SDCARD storage thing that tillaz was trying to sort for us got confusing (sorry tillaz, you must find it difficult dealing with us sometimes!). I tried reading back through the posts to see what should have worked, but I am confused. I did not get any comments on the screenshots I posted a few days back on my storage/app screens. The issues I had with the current set-up are: 1. No move to SDCARD (although i think the whole point of the mod is that it installs to SDCARD?!) 2. Huawei backup looks at the INTERNAL 2GB so does not see old backups, so you have to manually move files to INTERNAL 2GB to restore. 3. Apps seem to install to the 700ish MB space (or is it actually the SDCARD but screen does not show it correctly?) Could we have a concise list of what we are attempting to do, I thought it was something like this: 1. Internal storage is swapped to the 2GB not the 700ish MB as usual. 2. Apps default store to the INTERNAL 2GB? 3. APPS menu give option to move to SDCARD. Thanks for all the hard work.
Guest Titas Posted September 30, 2012 Report Posted September 30, 2012 The fix installs apps on the external SD card which is shown under settings/storage as internal storage. That will leave your internal 2Gb SD card virtually unused (except for a couple of empty folders) You won'y need to move anything to your SD as apps are put there by default
Guest Higgy69 Posted September 30, 2012 Report Posted September 30, 2012 Cheers, starting to get my head around this. Yes, my screenshots were correct then, and as Dellboy2012 & 2speed found, the Internal 2GB & SDCard have swapped around, but Apps still installing to the 700 MB internal slot, with no 'Move to SDCard' option in App menu. I see tillaz is aware from his reply to Dellboy2012 included below. P.S. I am loving B06's 2G/3G switcher :D View PostDellboy2012, on 26 September 2012 - 09:57 AM, said: I used second patch and my internal memory is my ext sd card now. But apps are still installing on my data memory (700+ MB). I can't find a way to move them. App2sd prompts about sd card memory emulation and disables option for moving. How do I fix this? cant you just go to setting / apps select your app then press move to sdcard? the patch is not supposed to set your default install path for apk's they have to be moved manually, unless you install link2sd and set it to move them automatic for you
Guest fuzzyy Posted September 30, 2012 Report Posted September 30, 2012 Anyone else have this problem? When recording a video, if you zoom in, you see a zoomed image in the viewfinder, but when you actually watch the recorded video, it hasn't zoomed at all.
