Guest FrankieADZ Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 lol, sim tool kit is just an app to get your balance or remaining mints makes no differance to a rom... its useless if you have an unlimited tariff like me , i think its a dodgy app because it has options for crap that will charge you £2 every moth if you select it only use Sim Tool Kit to check my credit tbf :).
Guest tillaz Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 hmm, B927 dose seem a bit faster.... probably best i just wait for uk release then re-base it on that...
Guest Ascend Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 this is for most people who have problems .before you install a rom 1.wipe factory 2.wipe cache 3.go to mounts and storage . 4.format system, format cache, format data. 5.go back to advanced 6.wipe dalvik ,wipe battery stats . 7.install rom 8.reboot. 9.enjoy a totall of seven wipes this should clear any problems with any rom.works for me .and i always do this . Did an upgrade yesterday just using the wipes in the OP. Rom was not very good with frequent freezes etc. Tried again today using the wipes and formats above and it is running much better.
Guest wrtease Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 yes this should be done all the time it just makes it worth while doing .not twice just the once.simples
Guest joeyla Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 Hi Tillaz...running since 1st hour you uploaded and ROM is running great...no more slow down issues and very smooth. Great work and thx again for your great work..... hope your quad-core gets delayed... ;)

Guest tillaz Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 anyone know what DTS mode is in sound settings
Guest Rico_89 Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 anyone know what DTS mode is in sound settings Isn't that surround sound.
Guest dt_matthews Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 yeh, its psuedo-surround sound (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DTS_(sound_system))
Guest tcpaulh Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 Dvd's are often encoded with dts sound. There's a Wikipedia entry. My audio amp recognizes and decodes dts
Guest tillaz Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 what would this be used for in a phone, a dock or something?
Guest Rico_89 Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 (edited) what would this be used for in a phone, a dock or something? Maybe surround sound headphones. Edited August 3, 2012 by Rico_89
Guest dt_matthews Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 i thought it was also for virtual s/sound in headphones too, but whenever I've tried it, it doesnt sound great [to me]
Guest Rico_89 Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 (edited) i thought it was also for virtual s/sound in headphones too, but whenever I've tried it, it doesnt sound great [to me] Probably a phone has to support DTS for it to work properly. Check this out: http://www.mobilebur...nt-size-package "Smaller than its siblings, the Xperia U features only a 3.5-inch Reality Display with Sony's Mobile BRAVIA technology. It is powered by a 1GHz, dual-core processor and has a 5 megapixel camera with HD video recording capabilities. The U also has xLoud and 3D surround sound audio built in." Guest bladebuddy Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 You turned of data + wifi for pictures 2 and 3. This alone will improve benchmark results, I always turn data off.
Guest wso277 Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 (edited) My feedback using the rom since upload: 1- Battery life is less than first version, but still last about 1.5-2 days which is more than enough 2-Faster than version 1. Only get lag after unlocking phone (last a few seconds probably the apps updating) 3-Back button "misses" a lot but already happened in stock ics. 4-Bit of lag with the keyboard (swiftkey 3) but shouldn't be because of the rom. Going to download antutu and test it. EDIT: Antutu gives 2717 EDIT: Tillaz could you pass in the using link2sd.... thread, please? Maybe you can give me some help Edited August 3, 2012 by wso277
Guest dt_matthews Posted August 3, 2012 Report Posted August 3, 2012 (edited) antutu folk, probably worth unchecking SD card tests and agreeing a baseline phone state (e.g. cold-boot, then set to airplane mode) so that comparing scores is as useful as possible? Edited August 3, 2012 by dt_matthews
Guest buddn07 Posted August 4, 2012 Report Posted August 4, 2012 I've found that this rom runs really smoothly for about 24 hours, then after this it gradually grinds to a halt. A reboot seems to fix the issue, and it's all snappy again. Just wondering if other users are experiencing similar behaviour? It may be to do with the script that is included in this rom (I think that the supercharger script requires a reboot every now and again also?)

Guest tillaz Posted August 4, 2012 Report Posted August 4, 2012 i might have a beta rom for people to test later on to night... its this rom re-based on B927, after some digging i found that the framework of B927 is quite a bit different from B926 meaning they are infact very different, anyway its ready to upload, so if you want to do some comparing for me check back here about 9 pm ;)
Guest anything-but Posted August 4, 2012 Report Posted August 4, 2012 (edited) How different is "different" ? Went back to stock 927 for the *application not responding* and general not so *snappy* feel of both versions of infusion. It starts out fine then just seems to have a wade through treacle feel about the ui. Pressing home doesn`t always go straight there, rather it hangs on what screen/app is open then after a couple more presses it goes back or gives the *close/wait* prompt. As this happened with both versions for me and as infusion is based off 926 i guess trying the 927based one would tell if it`s my addled brain getting confused or it`s version based. :) ....Still,i couldn`t create a rom to save my life so props for all your work anyway tillaz!
