Guest muhahahaah Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 What has to be changed in boot.img? Only this here in init.rc or is it more? # mount mtd partitions # Mount /system rw first to give the filesystem a chance to save a checkpoint mount yaffs2 mtd@system /system mount yaffs2 mtd@system /system ro remount mount yaffs2 mtd@userdata /data nosuid nodev mount yaffs2 mtd@cache /cache nosuid nodev
Guest muhahahaah Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 Hm strange, it bootloops. updater script is okay as the system files are in the ext3-partition.
Guest tilal6991 Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 What is the error in logcat and what is the output of adb shell?
Guest muhahahaah Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 logcat and adb shell both don't work. error: device not found The device isn't even listed with lsusb.
Guest tilal6991 Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 So your problem must be with the way you are spliting and putting back together boot.img. What tool are you using?
Guest muhahahaah Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 I use some perl scripts for unpacking, don't know who made them. to repack i use mkbootimg.
Guest muhahahaah Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 Try http://www.modaco.co...ootimg-kitchen/ same result
Guest android@sam Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 same result I have posted the tool for modifying the boot.img www.modaco.com/topic/356459-modtool-dual-boot-for-zte-blademodify-boot-tool-updated/page__st__20
Guest VirusPlus Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 I use Link2SD on my NAND ROM so i made 4th partition on my SD (1FAT32-2EXT3-1EXT2 all Primary) and im getting bootloop...is not clear to me the 2nd EXT3 partition in guide is for Link2SD or is needed for SD ROM? is possible to use dualboot and Link2SD on ROMs or not?
Guest razzmataz1478 Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 Make sure your link2sd partition is using the right side of the memory dictionaries. If that makes sense, so when you see the list of partitions it is at the bottom.
Guest VirusPlus Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 i use EXT2 for Link2SD and it is the last partition on my SD in order as i type above FAT32 - EXT3 (that proly SD ROM installed cause is full) - EXT3 (Empty) - EXT2 (Link2SD)
Guest tilal6991 Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 Link2sd is not supported in this guide yet since the link2sd script also needs to be modified to work. I'm working on adding support.

Guest tilal6991 Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 Can anyone explain what to cpy where ? I have to install Atomic and Mokee Which to copy where in the two 250 MB partitions ? Don't copy anything anywhere. Just follow the guide.
Guest jtharmor Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 Don't copy anything anywhere. Just follow the guide. Ok followed the guide.....lets see :)
Guest jtharmor Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 everything is very slow on CWM now.....even wipe data/factory reset
Guest jtharmor Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 Does not work........phone stuck on boot image......
Guest jtharmor Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 When i install second ROM (SD card one) it installs the first ROM by default.......strange
Guest android@sam Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 Don't wipe data or factory reset. It erases the partition. If you want to install rom to NAND then wipe data and cache partition through mounts and storage menu in recovery.
Guest oscar-mark Posted August 12, 2012 Report Posted August 12, 2012 This is so complicated, why all these partition and scripts.
Guest muhahahaah Posted August 12, 2012 Report Posted August 12, 2012 This is so complicated, why all these partition and scripts. The 2 partions are for sd rom /system and /data. And the scripts are necessary to switch the rom
