Guest Rosz
Hello OMC fellows, Any idea if ZTE Skate is USB Host capable, I would love to put my external storage on it. Thanks!
Guest C3C0
I made som experiments in the past and ended up with a kernel that has USB Host support compiled in but never had a chance to test it since I didn't have the necessary hardware (externaly powered hub or Y cable). So I don't know if it actually works. One thing I know for sure is that it has a problem causing massive battery drain (usb host module keeping the kernel wakelock all the time preventing the CPU from entering sleep mode). I was not able to solve this so I abandoned the development. Here is the kernel: http://tinyw.in/cPqU Can be used on Android 2.3.5 roms only. And I downloaded Android Hos Controller from Google Play, but it seems that the USB Host module is not compiled with the kernel, I am using your Skatie 2.4 ROM.
