Guest Hans Gruber Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 I can never get these things to flash without zeroing my IMEI (which I CBA doing) so I'll wait for someone friendly to make a CWM flashable zip :P
Guest anything-but Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 Memory card out and put it on the phones internal memory. Vol +/- and power on.
Guest FrankieADZ Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 Maybe cwm/root affecting. Anyone managed to install yet? im still waiting for that to know that too
Guest Redflake Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 Nope! Decided not to bother tonight, Going to install this S3 themed rom, looks nice! I'm already on B926 Infusion so it should work haha My mirror will be up in 3 minutes! :-) If your on infusion you can try this I knocked together. It will give you the Touchwiz Ux launcher Calclator Digital clock widget Desk clock with world clock, stopwatch and timer. Themed dialer S3 icons for browser contacts, messaging and dialer. S3 memo app and Apollo music player. Will do the S3 theme from the rom and upload later. For infusion rom only. Will also keep the notification toggles. http://www.mediafire.com/?r4fha9ly2z0l9ht
Guest nsmacd1 Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 im still waiting for that to know that too Going from B940 - I am about 3/4 of way through the pink progress bar so will report back soon
Guest Hans Gruber Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 Memory card out and put it on the phones internal memory. Vol +/- and power on. I've just given that a try and the progress bar still stops in the same place
Guest FrankieADZ Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 I've just given that a try and the progress bar still stops in the same place have you tried installing the middle package first then update to this?
Guest b4da55 Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 I've just given that a try and the progress bar still stops in the same place What rom are you on
Guest schkinx Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 (edited) im still waiting for that to know that too Installed ok with forced install , and cwm was playing nicely too :) I did zero the IMEI though , maybe thats made a difference ? Edited September 18, 2012 by schkinx
Guest nsmacd1 Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 (edited) All installed OK from B940 via forced update (No IMEI reset required) - Just going through the set up at the moment. Edit - All done. No Vodafone Bloatware on this ROM. The notification toggles are not there, but power control toggles are (May have come through the flash, as my wallpaper is still there too! Weather clock & All Back Up are there as well as the usual (Gmail, Play Store, Sound recorder etc. No Google Play music app though. Early days but it feels pretty smooth and responsive. Baseband is 2030. Kernel is 3.0.8-perf... etc Storage is defaulted to internal. Anyone know which vendor app could be flashed here to restore the notification toggles? - B892?? Guest Hans Gruber Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 have you tried installing the middle package first then update to this? Yeah I gave that a go but that's never worked for me. My phone just doesn't seem to like these updates. What rom are you on I'm currently on B940 (B926 baseband) but I seem to have the same thing whatever ROM I'm coming from. My phone just has to have the IMEI zeroed for some reason. No idea what's different about mine. I've even tried with the SIM card out.
Guest FrankieADZ Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 ive just bit the bullet and am installing it now....hopefully it will install :)
Guest Redflake Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 Sounds interesting, so is this just a zip install from CWM without any wipes? Yes just flash with clockwork. No wipe required as it just installs the apps. :)
Guest FrankieADZ Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 (edited) urgh...vodafone boot up screen....my eyes  has worked ok for me...coming from AtomicMod(B888) :) Edited September 18, 2012 by FrankieADZ

Out of interest which file did you install eey or efa. I've got an eta of 30 mins on both dowloading
Guest nsmacd1 Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 Out of interest which file did you install eey or efa. I've got an eta of 30 mins on both dowloading I flashed the EFA file.
Guest belmet Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 well might as well bite the bullet and flash over my stock b892 and see what happens. I hope it's good coz I don't want to downgrade again :( actually screw that I'll just buy a new phone and sod huawei and Vodafone. they will never get a penny off me again lol.
Guest Colin Whiteside Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 Storage is defaulted to internal. ... and suddenly I'm not interested anymore.
Guest Northstandhero Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 Yes just flash with clockwork. No wipe required as it just installs the apps. Downloaded, but virus checker is showing this as malicious?
Guest tcpaulh Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 (edited) i reverted to b926 via dload then tried EEY from phone settings. It failed. Then I tried a forced update which also failed with filename = /mmc1/dload/update.app call RCV_MODULE_END_EVENT failed,module = OEMSBL_VER_LIST CMD=0xf,moduleaddr = 0xd2000000, len_tmp=0x6000 filename = /mmc1/dload/update.app call RCV_MODULE_END_EVENT failed,module = OEMSBL_VER_LIST CMD=0xf,moduleaddr = 0xd2000000, len_tmp=0x6000 Just about to try EFA .... and it failed too on sd or internal with filename = /sdcard/dload/update.app call RCV_MODULE_END_EVENT failed,module = OEMSBL_VER_LIST CMD=0xf,moduleaddr = 0xd2000000, len_tmp=0x6000 Trying middle file...which fails withfilename = /sdcard/dload/update.app call RCV_MODULE_END_EVENT failed,module = OEMSBL_VER_LIST CMD=0xf,moduleaddr = 0xd2000000, len_tmp=0x6000 filename = /sdcard/dload/update.app call RCV_MODULE_END_EVENT failed,module = OEMSBL_VER_LIST CMD=0xf,moduleaddr = 0xe9000000, len_tmp=0x19 Next steps, try a different base rom then try with stock recovery installed. Guest Billy323 Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 I flashed the EFA file. Has anyone managed to work out what the difference is between the two. 15 Mins and counting, god Huawei servers are slow, i have 60meg this should have taken seconds
