Guest syscode Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 The article is a bit out of date considering expansys.com just slapped a £160(ish) price tag on the mob.. The alternatives mentioned do now look more interesting.. cink slim - cool name heh?? - and JIAYU G3/JY. Only question is really where is safe and reputable to get these from..
Guest PaulOBrien Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 That's only an £8 increase from when I bought it so... I wouldn't call this out of date? P
Guest syscode Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 I see where you come from. however, when people read and calculate the dufference with other phones, eg the h 300, then the gap is 60, not 50, and its hard to tell where people's red lines are.. Anyhow, the price jump made me consider other devices. both because it was a sudden and arbitrary one, and because it made the phone seem less of a bargain..
Guest cmachado0 Posted September 30, 2012 Report Posted September 30, 2012 sooner thid id out http://www.xtreamermobile.com/
Guest honix Posted September 30, 2012 Report Posted September 30, 2012 cink slim - cool name heh?? - and JIAYU G3/JY. Only question is really where is safe and reputable to get these from.. Guest JethroBelman Posted October 1, 2012 Report Posted October 1, 2012 Does anyone know if this device would run a UK SIM and a foreign SIM (Portuguese specifically)?
Guest syscode Posted October 2, 2012 Report Posted October 2, 2012 @honix - thanks for the link! http://www.ldlc.com/navigation/wiko+cink+slim/ Interesting that on the above site, liquid gallant is at the more palatable price of roughly £148 equivallent.. eg - http://www.ldlc.com/fiche/PB00135214.html Do we always have to pay more in the uk..? cheers!
Guest honix Posted October 2, 2012 Report Posted October 2, 2012 Hi syscode, hum...aren't you unhappy not to have to pay with Euro in UK ? i'm kidding. But you could pay more with Euro! (i don't see where the smileys are, lol !) In Germany, the prices are usually still lower : Amazon ...
Guest syscode Posted October 3, 2012 Report Posted October 3, 2012 @honix its a running joke this side of the channel that compair to the rest of eu - we keep getting the wrong side of the bargain.. ;) cheers!
Guest honix Posted October 4, 2012 Report Posted October 4, 2012 @syscode sometimes the wrong side, sometimes the right side, that's life. "Tchin, tchin"
Guest flashyphotos Posted October 4, 2012 Report Posted October 4, 2012 Great Review Paul, I have just purchased one of these to play with so look forward to any future rom you produce as usual.
Guest PaulOBrien Posted October 4, 2012 Report Posted October 4, 2012 I probably won't be custom ROM'ing it i'm afraid. Good job it's pretty decent to start with. :P P
Guest Jaisan888 Posted October 8, 2012 Report Posted October 8, 2012 If you want cheap electronic devices provided your in the vicinity of Shenzhen; get a dark suntan, practice pidgeon English and head off to the SEG Plaza. You will also need to haggle very well..........be stubborn. No point in waiting for the prices to drop, by the time it does lower, you'd be wanting something else.
Guest ricco814 Posted October 25, 2012 Report Posted October 25, 2012 hi Paul the "metal trim" is in fact all plastic... mine -i have the White Duo- had its metal paint scratched since i didn't have a protection case!! its really upsetting.. so i'm asking : is the screen Scratch resistant anyhow?
