Guest i am not a hacker Posted October 13, 2012 Report Posted October 13, 2012 Xolo was 306mb, not much of a different proportionally.
Guest ayziaa Posted October 13, 2012 Report Posted October 13, 2012 (edited) Ok guys here you go https://www.dropbox.... ICS Update.zip thanks mate! Edit : yeah I was wondering the same. Smaller than xolo zip, knowing that xolo is bloat free it's a bit odd. Edited October 13, 2012 by ayziaa
Guest rickywyatt Posted October 13, 2012 Report Posted October 13, 2012 I what to no is can you root it and dose the sdcard work
Guest DumonKri Posted October 13, 2012 Report Posted October 13, 2012 Well let me know if it works then i'll update mine as well ;) Otherwise i'll stay on gingerbread until we're sure.
Guest ayziaa Posted October 13, 2012 Report Posted October 13, 2012 (edited) yeah but is the zip if not correct (I mean getting it form wireshark we can't be sure). We are gonna brick our device as the only thing that will be on /sdcard will be that update.zip and we won't be able to go back to xolo ics unless recovery can mount usb storage (does it?) Edited October 13, 2012 by ayziaa
Guest Posted October 13, 2012 Report Posted October 13, 2012 (edited) When it is downloaded we simply read the build.prop to know if it is 100% the orange ICS, but the size looks right, I am sure someone on here said it was around the 270mb size. I am nearly downloaded now..... Edited October 13, 2012 by Guest

Yeah i can't guarantee it will work obviously, but hopefully someone can go through the files to make sure everything that needs to be is there.
Guest Posted October 13, 2012 Report Posted October 13, 2012 (edited) OK looking at the apps it is certainly orange ics. Faceunlock shows it is ics, Intel camera shows obviously intel, and orange apps shows it is orange. Any way I can confirm it is orange ics ? Edited October 13, 2012 by Guest
Guest iam_smithers Posted October 13, 2012 Report Posted October 13, 2012 The OTA update app on the Orange ROM says the update is 271mb, so everything that needs to be there probably is.
Guest The-Bledard Posted October 13, 2012 Report Posted October 13, 2012 Please report if working or not if someone tries to flash ;-)
Guest Posted October 13, 2012 Report Posted October 13, 2012 (edited) Is the orange rom rootable ? If it is I will try flash it over xolo ics. @rickywyatt, any way I can make certain it is orange ics. Fastboot and recovery are seperate so I am thinking it must be, same as xolo update Edited October 13, 2012 by Guest

Guest rickywyatt Posted October 13, 2012 Report Posted October 13, 2012 I think you going to have to flash the recovery.img to get it to flash
Guest BlueMoonRising Posted October 13, 2012 Report Posted October 13, 2012 Tried installing Orange ICS over Xolo ICS on my unrooted phone and it's wont work.
Guest Posted October 13, 2012 Report Posted October 13, 2012 (edited) I think you going to have to flash the recovery.img to get it to flash Can you remind me how I do that lol Through fastboot ? So take the recovery.img from orange update and fastboot -i 0x8087 flash recovery recovery.img Edited October 13, 2012 by Guest
Guest rickywyatt Posted October 13, 2012 Report Posted October 13, 2012 * shut phone down * and hold volume + and power button until you get to a blue fastboot -i 0x8087 flash recovery recovery.img yes that'd right
