Guest razzmataz1478 Posted December 30, 2012 Report Posted December 30, 2012 could not estabilish write context for recovery I clearly don't have terminal in su, but it doesn't allow me to add it anyway.. What happens when you enter su?
Guest Rhincort Posted December 30, 2012 Report Posted December 30, 2012 (edited) Hi Razz I found a problem. When accessing the recovery by the menu of the ROM, works well. But when accessed with the [power] + [vol-] keys, the volume keys do not work, and it's impossible to use. EDITED Sorry. I just saw the solution at this time Edited December 30, 2012 by Rhincort
Guest shaez Posted December 30, 2012 Report Posted December 30, 2012 What happens when you enter su? Nothing.. just nothing.
Guest razzmataz1478 Posted December 30, 2012 Report Posted December 30, 2012 Nothing.. just nothing. OK can you... ls /system/xbin/su
And make sure you have superuser installed.
Guest shaez Posted December 30, 2012 Report Posted December 30, 2012 Did exactly this, then repeated the commands, still shows up the first error.
Guest razzmataz1478 Posted December 30, 2012 Report Posted December 30, 2012 Have you denied root access I to term emulator ever before? Have a look in the superuser app.
Guest kamango604 Posted December 31, 2012 Report Posted December 31, 2012 (edited) Most gingerbread roms dont set TE with root permisions by default. I dont know why. Go to TE, hit menu then preferences, then initial command. And then on the end of line($PATH) you just add ;su
. That would be all, then just repeat what razzmataz said. Have a look in the superuser app. There is nothing about the emulator. It's like it didn't ever wanted to have su permissions. Edit: Okay, I've managed it to give it su permissions and deleted the recovery. Now I'm stuck at flashing. I think im typing it wrong or something. Could you write me the exact command for flashing (got the image just on /sdcard/cwm6027.img). Edited December 31, 2012 by shaez

Guest shaez Posted December 31, 2012 Report Posted December 31, 2012 Try: mnt/sdcard/cwm6027.img :) That actually worked, but I got a really scary log: write error at 0x00000000 (Out of memory) re-read error at 0x00000000 (Out of memory) and so on sucessfully wrote block at ffffffe4001a0000 sucessfully wrote block at ffffffe4001c0000 and so on and it finally ends with error writing recoveryfailed with error: -1

Guest razzmataz1478 Posted December 31, 2012 Report Posted December 31, 2012 HI razz, its possible a touch recovery? :D THANKS! I might experiment with Fagulhas's touch recovery for the G300. It sounds brilliant.
Guest tilal6991 Posted December 31, 2012 Report Posted December 31, 2012 @raz The repos for cm 10.1 recovery is very broken. I would not build with it until I fix it.

Guest tilal6991 Posted January 1, 2013 Report Posted January 1, 2013 I haven't built with it yet..using jellybean. That's fine. As long as you don't use 10.1 device repos you should be OK. Just thought I'd give you a heads up. :)

Unfortunately I forgot Fagulhas's recovery was using the 10.1 repo. The flag error hit me straight away :D
