Notification lights

This is a longshot, but has anyone found an app that blinks the notes softkey lights when an sms/email etc arrives?

I have trawled through the play store and found a few that can repeat a notification sound, which helps, but none that pulse the softkey lights.

There was one that perported to do it (lightflow), but it didnt work, and i found an old kernel on xda that also claimed to do it but was for gingerbread only I think (im on slimrom jellybean).

I absolutely love the note, its an amazing phone, but the lack of a notification light is quite annoying, meaning texts sometimes go unnoticed for hours.

Its quite perplexing why Samsung left this function out as I imagine it would be trivial to add at the kernel level.

If anyones interested, after a long and fruitless search for a reliable solution (i found a bln kernel, but it didnt perform very well and none of the apps that claimed to pulse the lights actually did), i ended up using an app called missed call reminder that plays a sound every 5 mins until the sms is read. Its not ideal because it wont shut up until you open the sms app, dismissing the notification isnt enough, but its better than nothing.

Light Flow works for me. Try changing all the various options for notification types.

Yeah, i tried that one, went through every combination of options, it didnt work.

From memory, isnt that the one that asks you to find the buttonled config file?. My rom didnt have the exact file it wanted, and the ones it did have (in the right directory and definately used to control the leds judging by the file contents) did nothing if selected.

Out of interest, what rom/kernel are you using?, i have a feeling that this is at the root of my problem.
