Guest yaqh Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 Only dict fixed as they don't see the issues others report. Bunch of muppets. thats what they say but we need to test it.com on peeps.
Guest Dazzozo Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 People expected more! Ho ho ho
Guest Dellboy2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 Thank God for our Santa "Dazz" Claus! Otherwise we would still be eager to see what they cooked this time! Since I already got my Christmas present, I don't care.
Guest Redflake Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 Only dict fixed as they don't see the issues others report. Bunch of muppets. They said they don't see the issues people reported in the new build. Not that they hadn't seen them in B936 so lets reserve judgement. Don't hold out much hope though but will certainly test it out.
Guest unaszplodrmann Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 It should be entertaining, either way. I suspect the Vodafone "tech team" tests consisted of checking that the factory reset option is still available in the settings and then giving it the all clear.
Guest Dellboy2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 After all, it is much easier for them to publish correct ICS, now that CM9 is out. It just took them few days to repack it to stock. :P
Guest Predackon Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 the new update is showing on my phone today ota haven't downloaded yet B936 for me as of 27th November at 23:23 Uk Staffordshire
Guest thebuell Posted November 28, 2012 Report Posted November 28, 2012 (edited) Just grabbed the UPDATE.ZIP from the OTA service and put it up on http://wikisend.com/download/237796/update.zip for downloads. Let us know exactly what the patch contains please :-) Edited November 28, 2012 by thebuell
Guest mattia107 Posted November 28, 2012 Report Posted November 28, 2012 (edited) It's a mini-update :D perhaps they only fix dictionary. Thanks thebuell :) Edited November 28, 2012 by mattia107
Guest MrPuddington Posted November 28, 2012 Report Posted November 28, 2012 It's a mini-update :D perhaps they only fix dictionary. Thanks thebuell :) 60 MB to fix the dictionary? Well, given the display of incompetence we have seen so far, that is an unfortunate possibility.
Guest thebuell Posted November 28, 2012 Report Posted November 28, 2012 It's not just the dictionary fix there are also updates for other stuff wanted to know what these are.
Guest thebuell Posted November 28, 2012 Report Posted November 28, 2012 Just ran onto a problem applying the update, seems it fails to update if I have CWM 6 installed, what do I do?
Guest qayl Posted November 28, 2012 Report Posted November 28, 2012 Flash stock recovery, it was posted somewhere, cant find it now...so I uploaded it: http://www.solidfiles.com/d/6966a11633/
Guest thebuell Posted November 28, 2012 Report Posted November 28, 2012 Thanks for that, how do I put back CWM afterwards?
Guest qayl Posted November 28, 2012 Report Posted November 28, 2012 (edited) Same way as you will install this, or as you istalled CWM first time. I use fastboot method, or there are automated .bat files for that, you just swap .img files. Edited November 28, 2012 by qayl
Guest Hans Gruber Posted November 28, 2012 Report Posted November 28, 2012 Looks to be a fairly substantial amount of stuff in that zip so it could have a few fixes in there
Guest Akathecat Posted November 28, 2012 Report Posted November 28, 2012 Just ran onto a problem applying the update, seems it fails to update if I have CWM 6 installed, what do I do? Hi Thebuell if you get this running can you give us an update on what it does actually fix? I am most interested in the ringtone / call volumes at the moment as they are woeful and one of the main reasons I went to a custom rom. Could you also check memory usage as that is another big issue. Thanks in advance
