Hiya!

I've just dropped and cracked the screen on my Vowney V5 - Can anyone please provide a list of the top few devices worth considering as a replacement in the sub £150 price range as there a quite a lot listed in the thread, and it would be much appreciated if someone could provide a breakdown?

From what I can see the coolpad F1 seems pretty popular, unless this has been outdated by a newer phone?

Thanks in advance!

Maybe you can repair the V5?

Is it the digitizer or the actual LCD that's broken?

Usually you can get replacement digitizers and disassembly instructions for many phones.

I just repaired a G300 myself and it went OK.

It is the glass screen which is cracked and looks like a spiders web - The display underneath is fine and the touchscreen still works, but I would like to repair it if possible (I have just ordered the coolpad F1 however)

So the digitizer is broken.

Same as it was for the G300 that I repaired.

I'm sure that there are V5 digitizers available for sale and guides (e.g. on YouTube) for disassembling the phone and replacing the screen/digitizer?

im keeping my v5 as a spare phone but ive just replaced it with a coolpad 7320 , good spec for £80 5.5 inch 1280x1020 dpi , 1 gig ram 8 gig rom , 8core processor dual sim , 2500 mah battery ( have had 2 days out of it ) , gps works spot on unlike the v5

UMI C1 looks good, but I wouldn't call it exactly a "quad core killer".

ZTE q705u - $108

Dakele Small Cola $142

Lenovo A820 (old model) $110

Coolpad 7320 (8-core) $137

Would the 1GB Ram be ok with an Octacore chip ?

Coolpad 7320 for instance, thought 2GB would be required to get the best out of it ?

It will be fine. Of course, 2GB is better

but 8-core + 1GB for 137USD is much better

than Quad Core + 1GB for the similar price.

I presume there are no cheap quad Krait based Chinese phones for that sort of price...?

Just that a quad Krait might match or even beat an octo A7?

Thanks, might invest so!!

Recently picked up a MLAIS MX59 from Pandawill for 132usd, was working fine, but appears to have developed a few issues (random reboots and camera is no longer working!!), am trying to see if I can flash another rom to see if it solves the problem but am struggling to get it flashed!!

Hello

It's 3rd day that I am using my new Nibiru H1 and it's great!

If anyone is interested here my few comments about phone.

Super fast...with 2GB ram it never lagging!

Camera is pretty good...clear shots and very responsive!

Battery...not so good. But I can last from morning till night, so it's enough.

Body is quite large, so it's not very comfortable to hold. Bottom edges are very sharp, and it very slippery.

Display is very good. When comparing to Samsung S4, samsung is noticeable brighter, but still very good display.

It's currently at 4.2.2 and I hope for update.

My biggest problem is root. So if anyone knows how to root it, please inform! Thank you.

Hi wolfjohny!

You can try with Vroot - chinese version for PC.

If you still can not root it, don't worry - it is just a matter of time.

Chinese root apps have frequent updates...

Hey guys,

My nexus 4 just smashed and so I am looking at a new phone, my main requirements are:

-Good audio

-Good camera

I have been thinking about the OPO but at $125 the coolpad 7320 seems a steal.

People who have coolpads is there any areas you feel that the phone falls short in?

Also could anyone link me to the difference between the f1 and 7320 and where I can get the 7320 for the lowest price?

I downloaded this software, and it fails becouse(I think) I don't have proper USB drivers for my Nibiru. And can't find them :\

I guess I will have to wait for someone to root it...not very much info on net :\

Thanks anyway!

EDIT:

yeah!

I rooted my phone successfully!

I just followed this guy instructions.

Next stop CWM! xD

Hi Coolicool!

There was a nice discount (coupon) for Coolpad F1 at your website :)

I know that 3rd class phones that do not sell in China (cubot, doogee, landvo...) make the largest profit

but you should realy push the best of China phone brands like:

Lenovo, Huawei, Xiaomi, Coolpad, ZTE, Meizu, etc.

There is no better way to build a reliable name for a seller. :)
