what i posted actually looks like a "real life thing" that was my point (could be legit), mainly because of what you say above... which are very hard to render.

those pictures what you posted do not look like they where took with a camera, and look like "renders" (made with software)

which a few people have already said here , of course the real thing could look similar, but i don't think it will... but i will be happy to be proven wrong when its officially announced.

ones looking slightly better at another site.

how do i install them ?

Just cracked the screen on my Vowney V5, so can anyone give a shortlist of the most rated phones at the moment - Ideally similar price and same size screen with similar or better specs?

Also looking for something fairly well supported - ie CWM/Playstore/Custom ROMs etc

your problem is the size of the image... most mtk6589 devices have a 6mb recovery partition, i have to resize all the images before porting so it actually fits.

safest way to flash is by using the mediatek SP flash tool, or you can use the mobile uncle app if you have root.

which might mean that MTK6589 will be even cheaper or a budget MTK6592

if not, i chose the THL W200 so that would be my recommendation

i actually ordered one of these. 30 bucks no problem. i dont think they will steal the money. it s full of feedback. obviously it is a fake. but i am curious to see the quality of the product. i will report when it arrives

In 2 weeks time they have to ship the order and then another 15 days to 60 days for shipment by China post. So if they don't ship in 2 weeks time then we can put a dispute. We also don't know what we will receive in our parcels? May be just empty parcels... Hahahaha

you need root, then you just put the recovery.img on your sdcard and use the update recovery option

it wont work though as the recovery.img is to big it needs to be 6mb or smaller.
