Guest dakok Posted September 24, 2013 Report Posted September 24, 2013 (edited) Great news for MIUI fans: MIUI prepares official release for a large number of MTK phones. The first wave is expected to be launched in late October, with support for 36 MTK-based phones. Other models will follow soon... Guest deuse Posted September 24, 2013 Report Posted September 24, 2013 red rice wcdma - well maybe, but it is already the end of September and I don't think it will be available before a month or so. And you will have presell delays then. Soon in stock and stuff like that. Octa core - it won't be reliable investment at start. First batches - I wouldn't put my money there. You'll have expensive models with cheaper ones arriving "soon" - just like jiayu g4 and neo story we saw at the beginning of this year... If I can't find a V5 in the UK then I will get a Red Rice but not at the price some site are charging. I would rather wait a month or two.

Guest dalyer Posted September 24, 2013 Report Posted September 24, 2013 Cyanogenmod is a company now! Cyanogenmod have raised $7 million in funding, are rumoured to be working with a hardware maker (possibly Oppo) and are planning to launch a simple installer app which will allow anyone to install the latest CM ROM with one simple click. (Gizchina)Why the seeming surprise when you posted this earlier?http://www.modaco.com/topic/359664-offtopic-china-phone-discussion-20032013/page-111#entry2159771
Guest dakok Posted September 24, 2013 Report Posted September 24, 2013 (edited) @dalyer Right, wrong headline - corrected now. Since that table from few posts back was pretty enigmatic, here is a model translation: List of MIUI supported phones: 1 Amoi N821 released 2 Amoi N820 released 3 Amoi N890 released 4 Huawei G610T released 5 Newman K2 released 6 GooPhone I9 released 7 BFB 100% S7 released 8 Huawei G520 released 9 ZTE Grand S released 10 Lenovo 8920 released 11 Lenovo A830 released 12 Kivu Big 7 (G`Five G9) released 13 Jiayu G4 released 14 Zopo C2 released 15 Amoi N828 released 16 ZTE v987 released 17 Xiaocai X9 released 18 Lenovo P780 released 19 Lenovo S820 released 20 Verne V5 released 21 Verne V5T released 22 ET100 (ISA T45E) released 23 ZTE V967s released 24 MIGO VIVI G200 released 25 UMI X2 released 26 Huawei G700 released 27 ZTE V970 released 28 ZOPO ZP950H soon 29 ZOPO ZP800H soon 30 ZOPO C3 soon 31 Big Easy W1 soon 32 Neken N6 soon 33 FAEA F2 (HY509) soon 34 Newman K1 soon 35 ThL W11 soon 36 ThL W8 soon 37 ThL T3 soon I couldn´t get number 8 real name. Anybody knows? (solved by akarana) Edited September 24, 2013 by dakok
Guest Frankish Posted September 24, 2013 Report Posted September 24, 2013 Shame there isn't w200 on that list?!
Guest tillaz Posted September 24, 2013 Report Posted September 24, 2013 Cyanogenmod looking for china phone manufacturer partnership! allow anyone to install the latest CM ROM with one simple click. (Gizchina) think they got that wrong, should be "anyone with a supported device" you cant make a universal build of CyanogenMod or anything else, because of the different hardware devices use, it needs to be built for each device individually. and if they use Oppo to make a device, it doubt it will be cheap, and 100% sure it wont be MTK based (for obvious reasons)
Guest dalyer Posted September 24, 2013 Report Posted September 24, 2013 (edited) Not sure if this was mentioned already but ... Oppo N1 first phone to come (in some cases) preinstalled with CM?http://www.gsmarena.com/oppo_n1-review-990.phphttp://www.geek.com/android/meet-the-oppo-n1-the-first-phone-pre-loaded-with-cyanogenmod-1571517/ Edited September 24, 2013 by dalyer

I think Baidu LeWa and Miui already have a similar solution for their suported devices. CM team saw that and got the idea... Lewa roms on Lewa devices thru Lewa installer CM roms on CM devices thru CM installer over Google Play... Probably some money milks along the way :) I guess, of course :) Edited September 24, 2013 by dakok
Guest akarana Posted September 24, 2013 Report Posted September 24, 2013 (edited) Since that table from few posts back was pretty enigmatic, here is a model translation: List of MIUI supported phones: ... 8 ??? T520 released ... I couldn´t get number 8 real name. Anybody knows? Nr 8 is Huawei T520. It's not a smartphone, and it's so old it's no longer on Huawei's device list. The unlock forums describe it as a "TI CPU" phone, so maybe that's a mistake & Nr 8 should be something else?? edit: Like, doh, Huawei G520 一动版 Edited September 24, 2013 by akarana
Guest dakok Posted September 24, 2013 Report Posted September 24, 2013 (edited) I saw that old phone and it surely isn´t that one. Thanks, it realy is huawei G520 - i checked it. It seems that original list has a mistake :) Edited September 24, 2013 by dakok

Guest GTRX3 Posted September 25, 2013 Report Posted September 25, 2013 My a850 apparently arrived in the U.K. yesterday!
Guest metal.mickey Posted September 25, 2013 Report Posted September 25, 2013 fortunately it landed on the corner so dented the case and cracked a very small corner of screen. I reckon i got off lightly.Note to self :BE MORE CAREFUL!I think its down to the size of this phone. 5.3 inches is a tad too big.but hey it was cheap as chips. easy come easy go!
Guest invertedgoatie Posted September 25, 2013 Report Posted September 25, 2013 (edited) The more I play and fiddle with my W200 the more I hate the G300 and wondered how the hell I put up with it so long. I can't get over how good to look at, and how silky smooth it runs. This thing is what android is all about...And it looks like a £300 phone easily so no socially awkward penguin moments.... Verdict is out though that the battery life is very average indeed. Edited September 25, 2013 by invertedgoatie
