Thoughts on moving to WP8

Hi, sorry if this is the wrong forum but hey, here goes.....

I am about to get a phone upgrade in a couple of days,

I am currently a HTC Sensation XL user, but I am thinking of going down the WP route,

mainly looking at the HTC 8x as my carrier doesn't really offer any other WP devices (Lumia920 "coming soon")

Anyway what I was wondering was how have people found WP8 and more importantly,

how have ex-android users found the switch?

Also does anyone have the 8x and if so how are you finding it in terms of both hardware and software?

Any info / tips would be great :)

I have an 8s and everything is superb. Battery is ok with more than 24hrs there are some trade offs fur to this being s mid range device but on the whole great. I would not return to android ios or bb

I went from a SGS2 to a Lumia 920 and loving it. All the scaremongering about there being no apps for WP8 is rubbish. I have pretty much got apps or alternatives for everything I used on Android. And the user interface is such a joy to use. Can't recommend it more. Have a Nexus 7 to run all the apps I purchased for the SGS2 so you could say I sit on both sides of the fence.

Same, just got the Ascend W1 on contract in NZ and I love it. Everything that was good in WP7 is better in WP8. The OS is so smooth compared to an android of similar price/spec and I have found all the apps I normally use to be available. Coming from a Huawei G300, My Experience with the W1 and WP8 has been top notch.

I bought the HTC 8S a couple of days ago. a breath of fresh air. had previously been using android for just a year, first was the Huawei g300, great phone until the ICS update, don't know whether people are still waiting for fixes for that or if it's been sorted. gave up waiting so i tried the ZTE Blade III, that turned out as bad as the G300, constant browser crash. totally useless. decided to go the Windows phone route and will never look back at android, it does everything i need, quality build and stable, what all phones should be whatever platform.
