Guest Dazzozo Posted January 27, 2013 Report Posted January 27, 2013 CyanogenMod 10.1 for the Huawei Ascend G300 Sources: github.com/Dazzozo & github.com/androidarmv6FAQ:Where did the developer/performance options go? Tap on the build number 5 times in "About phone".Where did the recovery reboot option go? It has to be enabled in developer options, and it only works when your device is unlocked. How do I use FM Radio?Spirit FM supports the G300 as of 21/12.Why is Photo Sphere unavailable? The G300 doesn't have a gyroscope. Currently Photo Sphere is basically dependent on one. If development occurs within CM that provides a workaround, you'll know about it.Why isn't ADB working?https://plus.google....sts/M2pVM7Y6MTq You need to update your Android platform tools and then approve the PC on your device. A solution is still being found. No overclocking on 109808 yet. Fixed "adb root" locking adb until the USB was repluggedFixed Wi-Fi tethering (thanks kra1o5)Changes to power HAL which was apparently causing a lot of the battery drainMajor changes to Bluetooth - shouldn't crap out anymore but there may still be a few oddities (such as disabling), still working on it.Minor optimisationsSwitch to filesystem mounter (Jelly Bean style) instead of manually mounting partitionsRemoved some junk Qualcomm LTE services and other crapChanges to Lights HAL - should fix all bugs with blinkingCompletely new kernel based on the latest Huawei release, used the opportunity to fix some minor irritantsFixed light sensorFixed weird bugs that appeared in R2 after the 4.2.2 merge 16/02/2013 - R2 Update to Android 4.2.2 (MR1.1), things to note: ADB now requires you to approve the PC you're using it at on the deviceBluetooth is a little more temperamental than on 4.2.1. Guest ivan.arandjelovic Posted January 27, 2013 Report Posted January 27, 2013 Come on people, please try it and post some feedback here :) ! I got fed up with 3G reboots so my bootloader is locked at the moment, otherwise I wold give it a chance immediately.
Guest Dazzozo Posted January 27, 2013 Report Posted January 27, 2013 Probably worth mentioning: a fix was found for the third party cameras purely because the new camera in 4.2 initially didn't work for the same reason as third party cameras on CM9 and CM10. The "fix" (hack) actually modifies CM source. The change will make its way back to CM9 and CM10 for the next builds. The pano is also usable again, I don't know why, I didn't change anything to improve it. CM10.0 just had a funny with it but with CM10.1 it works fine... Unless it was the same "fix".

Guest Dazzozo Posted January 27, 2013 Report Posted January 27, 2013 Can't wait! But really slow on the new google apps download - 10 hours remaining?!?!? Yeah, goo.im does that. :P
Guest kyan31 Posted January 27, 2013 Report Posted January 27, 2013 Can't wait! But really slow on the new google apps download - 10 hours remaining?!?!? Use DAP download manager. It can multiply your download speed up to 60x Right now, I am actually using my phone to tether internet to my laptop, and I usually get 400-600 Kbps when downloading.
