Later Edit: Now it worked. I could save the file. After saving i rebooted but can't really tell right now if it is louder or not. It seems so. Thanks for this tutorial.

You are a star, OP! It worked and ringtone is definitely louder now. I used X-plore file manager in 'Super user+Mount writable' mode to edit & save the file.

This is a thread about a patch purporting to solve the low volume on ringtones. Almost certainly there are no online updates for this. What else are you trying to update? Please be as specific as possible to make it easier for others to make informed comments.
