Guest MrFeigalach5 Posted March 4, 2013 Report Posted March 4, 2013 (edited) Hi! My phone dropped on the floor and now the screen goes all crazy :-( I have been thinking to replace the damaged part myself but I have no clue which one it could be. Any ideas? Note that when I restart the phone the Huawei logo is showing fine, but only when the OS concludes its boot up the flickering begins. Any help is much appreciated :) Edited March 4, 2013 by MrFeigalach5
Guest dalyer Posted March 5, 2013 Report Posted March 5, 2013 (edited) Any use? http://www.modaco.co...cracked-screen/ Might just be a loose connection that you can repair rather than necessitating a screen replacement? Edited March 5, 2013 by dalyer
Guest MrFeigalach5 Posted March 7, 2013 Report Posted March 7, 2013 Thanks dayler, My problem is that I don't know if the problem is due to a cracked screen (in which case I need to replace the screen) or some other component of the phone that went bad. As far as I know it could be a loose connection either (as you pointed out)... My understanding of phones hardware is basically nothing, but still, I would like to try to fix it myself if someone can give me some insight on which part could be faulty.
Guest dalyer Posted March 7, 2013 Report Posted March 7, 2013 Maybe view the video(s?) a few times to familiarise yourself with the phone/screen disassembly process before attempting it if you feel up to it. You might be able to go part way through the disassembly process and then reseat the relevant connector to see if that helps?
