Something keeps loading - what could it be?

Quite often when I exit the internet on my g300 and return to the homescreen, a box saying 'loading ' appears for a few seconds.

I've no idea what is loading and it slightly concerns me. I've checked the apps running on my phone and there's nothing that shouldn't be there.

Does anyone know what it might be?

Sometimes happens to me as well..if phone's been in heavy use for some time pops up for a second or two then everything is fine..What launcher you're using?Might be that phone is struggling to load everything back on home screen due to low ram use..

Do a logcat and paste it here, then I could take a look.

Still on gb, not rooted or anything.

Just had to Google what a logcat was :)

I went through all my usual sites to check what it might be and it was the news sites like the guardian. Maybe all the adverts they try to load up?

if it happens when returning to homescreen, then it should be launcher ;) it can be killed like any other app, when system needs ram and starting it again can take some time..
