yes, you need gapps for gb ...

you cannot flash this rom from link you posted, its update script is for u8818. download and try flashing this from 4shared...

You can try to install on ICS baseband, than after rom to install patch for using GB roms on ICS baseband...

CMiui rom. When I tried to install from CWM I got some error message and instalation stopped. I had the same issue with new CM7 rom.

So, that can be bug with CWM or with CM7.2 rom, I do not know... Installation throw TWRP is fine...

This is a strange one. Supposedly not CM based MIUI, although it says 2.3.7

"Stock" MIUI perhaps (if something like that exists anyway?)

I always get message with every CM7.2 based rom (the one with voice quality claimed to be fixed):

assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "U8815" || getprop("ro.build.product") == U8815 etc.

What could be the problem?

It`s updater-script that bugs you.

How to extract script?

Open rom with 7zip and find script inside meta inf folder. Save script somewhere. Don't close zip!

Edit saved script with notepad++ like this:

delete all lines with u8818 and u8815 which are at the beginning of the script and save.

Delete original script directly inside rom and drop your new one at the same place.

Now close rom (zip).

I followed everything you said but now I got black screen and had to remove the battery in order to reboot the phone. Can somebody upload Cmiui rom with changed script? It would be nice if somebody could test it before :)
