would be awesome if you could fix autobrightness, thats the only thing keeping me from using this rom

thanks for ur efforts

I'm working on it. Got button backlights working properly yesterday atleast :) Ishould be spending some time on this on sunday

Yeap that's the only thing pushing me back from this rom. On CM9 changelog dazzozo mentions about a commit from CM10.1 that fixes third party camera apps. What is that commit? Maybe you can push it here and fix this.

I'll have a look at this to. If it is an upstream fix then i'll see if i can add it.

THIS VERSION IS ONLY FOR THIS ROM

if people want to test it here it is.

make a back up first,

this was made for 4.2, but think it wont really matter because of the way its done

here is the .zip to test,

i built the original from source, this is the .smail hack version i put together for testing (for obvious reason's)

if it works on the G300 i will write a guide on how to do it both ways (source / hack) smile.png

EDIT

removed links for now as there seems to be a problem on the g300 blink.png

will make a new thread when i figger it out

sorted this now, and its confirmed working on the G300, so i will have a new thread up tomorrow with a guide ;)

I've tried to use Sygic and Tomtom and both have crashed.

Edit: Last version of Sygic works fine

I've tried the latest version of Sygic and now it works fine.

I miss the 3G/2G Toggle in this ROM.

If you want to enhance the speed do this simple steps:

Disable CPU Rendering

1) MAKE A NAND BACKUP OF YOUR ROM. Just in case something would go wrong

2) To disable CPU rendering the ONLY things to do are:

- with a file manager with root access go to system/lib/egl

- Set the permission to rw-r--r-- for the egl.cfg file.

- open the file egl.cfg. DELETE everything inside the file but keep this line: 0 1 adreno200

- rename libGLES_android.so from egl folder. Don't delete it so if there is an issue with your ROM you can revert back to this file.

- REBOOT

What might you benefit from? So far this is what I noticed.

- performance boost

- speed boost

- increased responsiveness

- better audio quality

- apps such as Facebook that would become slow and unresponsive are suddenly blazing fast

Build.prop optimization

dalvik.vm.dexopt-flags m=y

CHANGE TO

dalvik.vm.dexopt-flags m=y,o=v,u=y

then Save & Reboot

@Razor3000

Does this works?

I got bootloop :( so I had to reflash my rom. But I didn't use Build.prop optimizations.

I didn'i found dir /system/eg but there's /system/egl with files listed above, on CM9 Miui by Narkoman. So I did everything and nothing happens, same performance as before and everything is same... :(

How you see that "it works"? Does that even work on any rom or just on AOKP ? :)

If you want to see that it works open the jelly bean easter-egg (About Phone -> Click in android version multiple times -> Click in the jelly bean multiple times) without the MOD then apply that MOD and test it again... You will see that the animation runs smoother, this applies to all system.

With the GPU rendering you have lower CPU usage and improved battery life.

It works in all roms and in all devices with adreno 200 gpu.

I don't think it would as it's compiled from source, without any multibaseband hackery. The network was fine when I tested the ROM a while back.

Pass I used the one from the OP just to be sure, but you could give it a go, you can always re-flash the ROM if it don't work.

In changelog:

-Set 30 in call volume stepps.

Does this mean in call volume/distortion has been fixed or better? Can someone confirm call quality.

No, it means there are 30 in call volume steps. Pretty self explanatory :P
