Am considering this phone on O2 from Argos, has anybody any info on a sim unlock, I found the following link which purports to have a sim unlocked GB ROM, anybody want to try it and let us know?

To unlock the Sony Xperia U from O2 ,use unlock code. It is safe ,easy and it won't void the warranty of the phone. Using custom roms to unlock phone is not safe and you may brick the phone. Using unlock code is the best. You can get the unlock code for a price from http://www.ADVERTISING SPAM/sony-xperia-u/rs16wp9/ . There you have to give your Country and current network name along with your IMEI number to get the unlock code. They will give you the unlock code along with instruction on how to unlock. Follow the instructions and unlock your Sony Xperia U.
