Hi, i'm Josalaito, a developer and i compiled CM 10.1 from sources for Huawei Ascend G510, the repositories and config are based in chinese devices and i change the cdma ril for gsm ril, it's a pre version with i supposed a lot of bugs, but i haven't got the device and i can try, so i need some betatesters.

Features:

New kernel with cleanup repositories.

Overclock and new governors(More in the next builds!)

Added I/o: SIo

Cyanogenmod Features(Obviusly hehe)

Sound a bit better than the stock rom(I supossed)

Bugs:

No wallpapers, i forgot add to the cm configs.

PD: I CAN'T FIX THE BUGS WITHOUT LOGCATS,if you will find one, please give me a logcat and i try to fix it early.

FIX(Only if you can't flash): For apply, extract and change the meta-inf folder in the rom.

From here it looks like the best 4.2.2 rom I've tested for this device.

Way better than http://www.htcmania....ad.php?t=590999, faster, on this ROM wifi is connecting fast not like the other one.

As for bugs, 3G is not working, neither is bluetooth, the max clock is set to 1ghz, you can OC it to 1.2ghz from "performance" in settings.

If I can help you with some logcat just let me know.

P.S: I had to use the fix in order to be able to flash the rom.

Later edit: Sadly, calls are not working, if you try to call some1 it's stuck at "dialing" and you can't hang up unless you reboot the phone :(

Later edit2: calls now work after some restarts (strange...) but the hangup problem is still there.

Video watching doesnt work too, these are the main bugs of cm in this phone. spanish htcmania users are working hard in this. Any help would be appreciated :)

Search for baseband 2030 for UK users at g300 trades hire & remember to search for cm10.1 version! The radio (modem) is the same so this should work perfectly! In simple words this should enable 3g reception.

P's list all basebands you find please!

Strange thing is that even 2g baseband is not working properly ak. problem with calls & hangup!

re P's all main additional hardware is the same as on g300 differencis are: front facing camera that don't exist on g300 & compas that don't exist on g510 (Y300) posable difference is in used sensors bat i doubt that one!

If you like i cud du the detailed hardware specification tomorrow? It needs a little more time & good old paper & pen!

Would you like a logcat from a specific period? For example, I disable and then enable Airplane Mode to trigger 3G issues?

Let's not clutter this thread up with asking for fixes etc let's just make it clear,

THIS ROM IS A PREVIEW/DEVELOPMENT BUILD. ONLY FLASH IT AS OF NOW IF YOU KNOW HOW TO MAKE A LOGCAT OF AN ERROR OR WANT TO HELP CONTRIBUTING FIXES.

If you really want the developer to fix things quickly and efficiently please consider donating but it is just that a DONATION and this doesn't give you the right to demand or ask of anything!

after flashing this ROM, touch screen doesn't work in TWRP custom recovery, any clue how to fix it ? i wanna flash my stock ROM

Ok, the bugs at the moment are:(Listed thanks to htcmania and modaco users):

- Problem with callings(Impossible to hang-up)

- No 3g(Partially fixed in the next build)

- Incredibly battery consumption.

- No Bluetooth, No camera, No video rendering

Ok, i need a betatester and someone to do some logcats of this problems, if someone want to know how to do logcats, please, send a pm and i will explain.

And for ako0, mmm this is not a usual problem, can you flash the recovery again in fastboot mode? If this not solv your problem, i try another methods.

Tray installing the rom manager & from it another recovery version! The one that origin to original source phone from which this mod originated! The touch input is a separate layer part of firmware! I will do full in depth hardware specification for me Y300 & post it on new trade for developers to have full knowledge of used hardware. It will take some time to identify some chips...

I can confirm the TWRP issue. My solution was to flash Clockwork, but obviously you can't flash the TWRP backups

The TWRP don't work with a Cyanogenmod Kernel. You need to flash a CWM!
