Transparent status bar on stock ROM

Does anyone know how to get a transparent status bar on a stock ROM?

Don't think its possible. Never seen it on a stock, or a CM-based ROM. Only on the chinese based ones.

It is possible at least on CM roms at least the last time I did it, it was. That was on ICS. Will try and do it for this phone if I get chance.

There are mods for this if you install the Xposed framework (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401). I haven't tested Xposed on the Y300 yet, myself. Has anyone gotten around to it?

Tried Xposed, didn't work with transparency, but the custom colour did work.

Edit: I didnt see the word "Stock" in your post earlier.. yah, Xposed framework KIND of does it, I once had smart launcher and had the status bar set on autohide, when I JUST pull it down, its transperent.. but all of a sudden it returns to its regular..

Its possible on any ROM. You need to decompile the system ui and make changes, however I'm not sure exactly what changes you would have to make. Changing the status_bar.XML values might work.
