Guest hypocritelecteur Posted August 16, 2013 Report Posted August 16, 2013 (edited) Honestly why are people even flashing to the new beta when there's absolutely zero information available on what it is, what it changes, or if there are known issues? That seems... foolhardy at best. My bad, they are there just buried! Edited August 16, 2013 by hypocritelecteur

Guest robinwe97 Posted August 16, 2013 Report Posted August 16, 2013 @Paul the Problem with the crash from Google account manager solved itself i just switch a few times then everything works fine
Guest Thumper Net Posted August 16, 2013 Report Posted August 16, 2013 Have one strange bug on the gpe side , the top bar is missing ( with the wifi bat and network ) means i cant access the quick toggles from the pull down menu , any ideas on how to get the top black bar back on the gpe side? Normal sense side works perfectly
Guest dca1970 Posted August 16, 2013 Report Posted August 16, 2013 anyone else having problems with google voice search crashing in GPE? works fine in sense. did the adb fix and reinstalled google account. also tried wiping caches

Guest PaulOBrien Posted August 16, 2013 Report Posted August 16, 2013 Changelog brought up to date. If you are having a problem with Voice Search crashing in GPe, please try 'clearing data' on it, else please provide a logcat. P
Guest Thumper Net Posted August 16, 2013 Report Posted August 16, 2013 Cheers will try that , one thing thats a shame is the htc music player is not on the gpe side as it has a good widget for the homescreen , well the bar is back thanks for the tip

Guest hypocritelecteur Posted August 16, 2013 Report Posted August 16, 2013 (edited) Actually how would you go about installing xposed on .Switch anyway? I get infinite boot animation. Depending on how this intricate beast operates behind the scenes, pre-installed xposed might be the only feasible option. Is that a possibility? Edited August 16, 2013 by hypocritelecteur
Guest deeevan Posted August 17, 2013 Report Posted August 17, 2013 "Best Deals" - Did this hidden app come with one of the SWITCH ROMs? It doesn't display in the app drawer and I only noticed it in the All Apps listing. Based on its TitaniumBackup date, I'm trying to rule out all the activities I did around then (SWITCH installation being one of them). A quick google didn't come up with any info, just an app with the same name in the Play Store. This app has a price tag with a % as its icon. I remember the 7Digital app appeared when I installed SWITCH but assumed that was packaged in the stock Sense ROM that SWITCH is based on (UK?). 7Digital appeared in the app drawer, while Best Deals does not which raises alarm bells for me. I did get an OTA update around then, and I'm trying to remember what new apps I installed, but do other SWITCH users have this app?
Guest hypocritelecteur Posted August 17, 2013 Report Posted August 17, 2013 (edited) First google result for bestdeals app http://www.engadget....coupon-service/ Edited August 17, 2013 by hypocritelecteur
Guest deeevan Posted August 17, 2013 Report Posted August 17, 2013 First google result for bestdeals app http://www.engadget....coupon-service/ Weird, nothing came up even after I tried bestdeals app without a space. Maybe Google is skewing towards Australian content for me? And even weirder that it's there with no way for me to launch the app. Anyway, cheers for clearing that up for me!
Guest hide598 Posted August 17, 2013 Report Posted August 17, 2013 Thanks for the beta 10 update! So far, I encountered two issues. 1. I can't download new apps or update any app under Sense. While it's working perfectly in GPe. 2. There is a lag to detect my typing under Swype keyboard during the first word input. (Doesn't have this issue before)

Guest hypocritelecteur Posted August 17, 2013 Report Posted August 17, 2013 Google does love to skew. But yeah--regardless of its origins it looks like bullshit to me :) CONDEMN IT TO DEATH.
Guest GenShard Posted August 17, 2013 Report Posted August 17, 2013 So, after flashing 10, losing everything and having to start over (no backup, my bad) i have root modaco switch 10beta running. And quite frankly no idea why I have root when I can't uninstall any bloat (ie stocks, email). Every time I switch they reappear. Please help, apart from this I've conquered all the glitches (play store, nav bar etc) and have successful root.

Guest GenShard Posted August 17, 2013 Report Posted August 17, 2013 I mean it wiped my system, not data though. Funnily. And what's this mysms app business, it doesn't help with switch a bit, sms backup restore is a much better app for switching sms logs
Guest robinwe97 Posted August 17, 2013 Report Posted August 17, 2013 You mean you lost all your system settings but still have all data ?
Guest GenShard Posted August 17, 2013 Report Posted August 17, 2013 Yeah it wiped all apps and settings but my media and files were still there. That means the system partition was wiped yet the DATA partition was untouched. This often happens with a factory reset yet I explicitly did not do this when I flashed the update.
Guest Lennyuk Posted August 17, 2013 Report Posted August 17, 2013 So now i tried i both Roms Facit: in gpe: ADM can't locate but can call me also Google play web install the apps directly In sense: ADM doesn't work, no location and no call also Google play web doesn't work Thanks this confirms the same as I was having. Paul will investigate at some time soon.
