Guest kannasbor0 Posted August 27, 2013 Report Posted August 27, 2013 Hi all! I have G510-0100. Today I flashed DefroostKernel, and activated swap. I restarted my phone, booted without any problems. I activated init.d support too, and after that I rebooted again. I didn't overclock the processor, I only wanted to use swap partition. Since then the phone don't boot up. No fastboot, no recovery, no 3 button flash mode, no huawei logo. It just don't do anything. I pulled battery out may times, didn't help. When I plug it to charger, nothing happens. The LED, which have to blink when the phone is on charger, stays black.. My PC doesn't recognize it, I tried with battery, without battery, but nothing happened. Is there a way to bring it back to life, or I have to bring it back to Vodafone? Another question: Will they see that I modified the phone? Thanks.
Guest Voxpop2011 Posted August 27, 2013 Report Posted August 27, 2013 Obvious question, did you make a back-up before flashing?
Guest Clarkiieh Posted August 27, 2013 Report Posted August 27, 2013 Obvious question, did you make a back-up before flashing? That would be useless as he just said the phone won't boot into recovery... If the phone won't boot, you wont get ADB so my advice.. go to vodaphone tell them your phone started playing up then all of a sudden did a random shut down and wouldn't turn on, they cant detect if the phones been modified as it won't turn on :) tell them you want a replacement you can't afford to wait for a repair as you need it for work or something like that i did it at carphone warehouse 3 times haha

Guest kannasbor0 Posted August 28, 2013 Report Posted August 28, 2013 (edited) Sure, I made a backup, but I can't do anything with that. The phone is absolutely dead.. :( Is it possible that the kernel damaged it physically (I know that it can happen, but I didn't manipulate the freqs, and voltages, I just turned the swap on)? I will bring it back to Vodafone, but they said (I called them yesterday), that I have to wait 15 bussiness days, because they will send it to service, after that, if they can't repair it, will give me a brand new one.. But 3 weeks?!?!?! :o Edited August 28, 2013 by kannasbor0

I had another phone so they didn't need to offer me a courtesy phone BUT there is a section on their repair form 'Courtesy Phone Details'; on both my repair forms it says 'No courtesy phone offered to customer', so they should offer you one whilst yours is away for repair.
