Hello I need someone to help me and test this out. If this works then I will root the phone

The y300 has a SCREEN Resolution of 480 x 800 pixels,

Is it possible to CHANGE this to 600 x 1024 pixels, can someone try that out please PLEASE and post results

but no, you can't make the display have more pixels as its a hardware thing / the way the display is made

Okay , the reason why is that I previously used a device which had 600x1024 and I liked that. But with this phone everything seems too "zoomed in". I liked it on the other phone where it was "zoomed out".

I really want it to be zoomed out,

Can I do this on the y300

Also what's is DPI , under you rom. Under tweaks. What does that do

yeah, that's why i asked, as i was going to say you can change the DPI to make things bigger or smaller (zoomed in / out)

240 is the stock value for 800x480 displays

Higher = bigger / zoomed in

Lower = smaller / zoomed out

Ahhh, Okay, Thank You, This is great news :) :D one last thing, if i set e.g dpi to lets say 210, Will this make ONLY the settings/text zoomed out or EVERYTHING including apps?
