[JB] [4.3.1] CyanogenMod 10.2 [ROM]

I confess: I still play Candy Crush Saga... It's always struggled on the G300 - delayed response, no response, lots of 'Wait' presses to ANR popups, etc. but since switching to CM10.2 it's become mostly unplayable as it simply crashes out more often than not.  Best results are immediately after a reboot but nothing is guaranteed.  I've looked through the logcat output but I can't see anything obvious, but then I don't really know what I'm looking for...

 

Anyone have any recipe to get it to run better?

Runs way better on 10.2 on my wife's G300. Never had a problem with it at all. Have all unnecessary system apps uninstalled eg live wallpaper, Email etc, Adaway running and a bit of over/underclock until recently. My wife insists on using the official FB app which is a resource hog without any ill effects.

I cannot seem to fing google now on the latest update 19.11.

When I tap on the google widget I only get the search function.

 

Later edit: Ok I got it. You have to use the separate widget. The widget present on all screens has nothing to do with google now. It has only the search function.

I could be wrong but I don't think it would work. You could pull boot.img from old rom and try it with fastboot flash

I have a little problem , i can't instal the latest update of this rom , i have an older version .  When my phone restarts in recovery and choose to instal i get an error " signature verification failed "  and the instalation aborded.....

I'm using external SD as primary (since that's how it's always been and I hate reinstalling stuff) but this means the CM updater downloads to a different directory to the one CWM uses when trying to update, and of course fails as above.  If I copy the downloaded files from sdcard0/cmupdater to sdcard1/cmupdater then click to install it works just fine.

 

So, is it possible to get the updater to write directly into the real internal 'sd card'?  I couldn't see a target directory in any config file.  Otherwise I think I'd have to revert back to using the internal as primary and all the pain that would involve.

Perhaps you have to flash latest CWM 6.0.4.4

Hi

I've been using this rom for the last couple of weeks.

It's amazing! excellent work!

I do have two issues:

 

- Video playback is super slow. Youtube or any recorded video.

- Offline Voice search is not possible.

 

Is there any workaround for this?

You mean Hynix eMMC?

The general consensus seems to be that (a) Hynix eMMC is inherently flakey and can brick at any time regardless of what you're doing (b ) a few previous builds (now removed) of the 3.4 kernel and stuff based on it may have accelerated this bricking and (c ) the latest 3.4 kernel builds and stuff based on it is no more dangerous that doing anything else on a Hynix eMMC based G300. But there seems to be no certainty about any/all of this. (I haven't checked the latest IRC logs in case there is more up to date info there about this).

Same problem here. When i did a update with Cyogen update, my phone works for few hours but today morning was shutdowned and didnt work boot or something no response after try to switch it up.. PC don´t register him as device..

Which memory did your phone have? xinyh or Samsung?

Before four days I get phone from service repair (shitty xinyh flash memory). Switched mainboard. Now I have Samsung (SJS00M) flash. And i flash to phone before 3 days CM 10.2 and withnout any problems. Now i have today version and phone works fine. But I have one problém - with WiFi HotSpot. Is any chance to get it work? It's very helpful for me and my work :( Thanks
