Here is a collection of stock firmware for ZTE Blade V. If you find any missing/updated firmware, please post it to this thread. Updates are available at ZTE support site.

Do not use ClockWorkMod to flash stock firmware! Stock recovery images compatible with each firmware are linked below. You'll find update.zip and installation instructions within each package. If necessary, you can flash the stock recovery the same way you'd flash ClockWorkMod.

seems they have spells of speed getting just under 200kb/s now handy to have it hosted somewhere else anyway

I'm getting 4MB/sec from ZTE which is as fast as my connection will go

Hi!

I have Xplore Cosmote version V2.0 and I want to put ZTE_Blade_V_V4.0 Czech version.
What should I do? Who helps me not want to ruin it?
My phone is stock, no root, no CWM.
What are the steps? Can be made only from stock recovery?
Who can explain step by step how should I do?

IMPORTANT!!! -> Make backup with ZTE Backup!!!!!!

 

1.) Download the ZIP file from ZTE site : http://www.ztedevices.com/support/smart_phone/c2b8b528-d778-4875-89d4-71ae97f13131.html?type=software

2.) Extract the zip and put the update.zip file to SD Card

3.) Go to Recovery mode (press Volume up and Power button)

4.) Choose this "apply update from external storage" (SD CARD 1) or "apply update from internal storage" (SD CARD 0)

5.) Choose the update.zip file and install it!

6.) Reboot the phone!

7.) Enjoy

Thanks a lot but that does not work.
I appear all Cosmote_Xplore_V2.0., Not ZTE_Blade_V_V4.0.
Installation goes like 15% -20% after exiting the recovery.
I give reboot and the same, all applications, phonebook, everything is in place.

So, I think you first need recovery.img and then update.zip.How flash recovery.img? :blink:Step by step.It does not work and in recovery mode? :blush:

You not need install Clockworkmod recovery!!!! If you have STOCK system!!

My question is,how to install recovery.img??I think the update.zip does not work without recovery.img :(

Read the instructions in the ClockWorkMod thread. Instead of using CWM recovery image, use the stock recovery image linked below each firmware.

How far does it get before it fails for you?  I'm trying it now, it's really slow, I'm at 17% after about 30 minutes.

Managed to download it, looks like whining about it helped. ;)
 
It's only a day newer than the Czech build (which is a generic, non-branded, build and should be 'better' in that sense).

Yes! All android phone default language its ENGLISH!

Thanks djfnz!But I just installed the package Czech. :) I installed CWM and I rooted :DLooking for a newer OS and nonbranded  and Czech fits best.Czech package is already V4.0 and is general for Europe  and the Cosmote Xplore is V3.0 and is branded.So I think the best one Czech.

So does that mean I can install this Firmware for my UK (Virgin) Blade? I'm unrooted (as yet), what changes would there be for the Czech version to the UK version?

Thanks. I tried it, and everything seemed ok until I switched off wifi, and noticed no 3G. narrowed it down to APN settings, but there weren't any to select. Tried inputting them manually and saving, but still none could be selected. The APN page was just blank, which meant I didn't have any data...

 

reverted back to 2.1 for now, as I couldn't work it out.
