What's stopping him from getting the Apex launcher from an app market, installing and making it the default via the app's setttings? Alternatively and presumably, Apex is a free launcher, search google for the .apk file and install via the apk installe

Don't you understand he can't. He has no launcher at all so the phone doesn't boot.

@OP

I would recommend making a flashable zip for the launcher, and then flash it ;)

No I didn't, but thank you for graciously pointing it out.

Put the original launcher back to the phone with adb

adb push launcher.name.apk /system/app/launcher.name.apk

Or

Install launcher

adb install apkfilename

You will nead to have enabled usb debugging for this!

Best thing is that you before trying this read a good manual!

So hire is one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2131284

thanks! I'll have a proper look at that guide... any idea where there's a .apk of the original Huawei launcher that came with the phone?

my phone is now not booting up fast the Huawei symbol...so we'll see :/

I can't remember if this one is system or usual app

so use this or some other launcher app & goo with the install command. & you will need to have unlocked boot loader to write any thing!

You can exploit the same method you used to root

the phone in the first place to the point of installing the first bootimg.iso that belongs to the Chinese Y300-0010 that comes with unlocked boot loader.

Just to clear the things up can you boot in the recovery?

basically I have no launcher...so not sure how I can get one on my phone so it'll work...that's if it'll even boot up

It's not your fault that some people are just plain RUDE. I hope you can get your phone sorted.

Yea I can boot in to recovery. At this moment in time, I don't have an unlocked bootloader.... will I need to/be able to unlock bootloader considering my phone wont completely turn on?

Well I em not shore that you will nead it unlocked.

Bat if the need be you can same way you rooted!

You actually have much options to fix the phone: adb shell, to update from sd card official firmware...

When you are done with repairing I advice you to flash official firmware & re lock the boot loader before selling the phone!
