Guest TangerineTractor Posted September 20, 2013 Report Posted September 20, 2013 (edited) Found this on HTCmaniahttp://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=684097Working very well on my Y300.Initially wouldn't download apps from Google Play, but did after a restart. It's already pretty stripped, but I removed the default launcher and stuck on Nova. Everything runs VERY fast, and battery consumption is phenomenal so far, if it's accurate, its used 6% in two hours light use, including wifi, 3g, phone call.Rom description doesn't say much, but worth a blast if you have the time.Added mirrors to the files in case you have problems with Mega:ROM: https://shared.com/r9idqvili0Super-SU: https://shared.com/vsc70msgz6NB These aren't my files, just providing a mirror. If there are any issues with this ROM, go to the HTCmania thread and talk to the dev, I can't help! Edited September 20, 2013 by TangerineTractor
Guest antinbolton Posted September 20, 2013 Report Posted September 20, 2013 Hey how did you download it mate I can't get that mega site to do anything and the app is bloody useless lol gets stuck at 3% every time!

Did have to restart it twice though. If you install the mega app on your phone, copy the url and go into the app and enter the url, that usually works.I'll upload it somewhere and post the link here. Guest Tawsifp Posted September 21, 2013 Report Posted September 21, 2013 Can I install this using the system update app on the stock ROM or do I have to use TWRP recovery? Do i have to unlock bootloadet to install it and is it rooted or unrooted?
Guest TayoOnabule Posted September 21, 2013 Report Posted September 21, 2013 Yep, you'll need to unlock your bootloader and install twrp/cwm, click this to get an unlock code http://www.huaweidevice.com/worldwide/servicePolicy.do?method=toApplyUnlock

Already asked for the unlock code on Friday. Will probably get it on Monday/Tuesday if they're on time. Hopefully they reply quick.
Guest John Player Posted September 22, 2013 Report Posted September 22, 2013 hey thanks for the info, i put this on my phone and im very impressed, no more vodacrap or huawei stuff i never use.(first day flashing roms to the phone, after the usual panic about if i bricked it, I tried CM and MUMI and then this one was like a breath of fresh air!)i was wondering, how do u find this one compared to the slim ROM @ http://www.modaco.com/topic/365199-rom-b196-slim-v1/cheers:)
Guest TangerineTractor Posted September 22, 2013 Report Posted September 22, 2013 (edited) Very similar to slim to be honest. Once you've tweaked it to your requirements there's not a lot in it. This feels maybe slightly faster. Edited September 22, 2013 by TangerineTractor
Guest TangerineTractor Posted September 22, 2013 Report Posted September 22, 2013 Threw a wobbly on me after about 15 hours of use, went really laggy and needed a reboot. Wasn't doing anything unusual.
Guest RXZ Posted September 29, 2013 Report Posted September 29, 2013 This ROM is awesome.. I have repacked it with new GoogleServices.. work like charm...
Guest TangerineTractor Posted September 29, 2013 Report Posted September 29, 2013 (edited) If it as good as Lunatic Pandora? I find that faster than the previous version Edited September 29, 2013 by TangerineTractor
Guest TangerineTractor Posted September 29, 2013 Report Posted September 29, 2013 Ok, just blasted this. First impressions.... fast, smooth. Not sure if I like the inverted notification tray and settings. There is a display bug in settings where airplane mode has a skinned switch and the rest don't. Aside from that, seems excellent so far.
Guest TangerineTractor Posted September 29, 2013 Report Posted September 29, 2013 Update. Works eel, but very heavy battery drain. 20%+ on standby on an hour. Back to Lunatic for me, best of what's currently out there.
Guest bogdanwp Posted September 29, 2013 Report Posted September 29, 2013 You should try Shockey`s B196 if you didn`t , it seemed best from my point of view. Bugless compared to lunatic pandora and faster after all the junk is removed.
Guest TangerineTractor Posted September 30, 2013 Report Posted September 30, 2013 You should try Shockey`s B196 if you didn`t , it seemed best from my point of view. Bugless compared to lunatic pandora and faster after all the junk is removed. shockeys is a good rom .. but nit as fast as Lunatic. And the only bug I found in lunatic was the gallery edit, which is easily resolved...
Guest TangerineTractor Posted September 30, 2013 Report Posted September 30, 2013 V2 uploaded Cheers. I'll give it a blast. Nothing on telly.
Guest TangerineTractor Posted September 30, 2013 Report Posted September 30, 2013 Blasted. Working.fast. no bugs so far. Need to monitor battery usage.
Guest TangerineTractor Posted September 30, 2013 Report Posted September 30, 2013 Update. Battery nowhere near as good as Lunatic or even slim. Shame, but 15% in an hour of light use is double the consumption of the others.
Guest TayoOnabule Posted September 30, 2013 Report Posted September 30, 2013 Yep, I'm getting the same as you tangerine... Back to Pandora I go....
