Guest Market88 Posted October 2, 2013 Report Posted October 2, 2013 You can find the zip in this site http://www.android-hilfe.de/root-custom-roms-modding-fuer-huawei-ascend-y300/480370-firmware-b197.html
Guest TangerineTractor Posted October 2, 2013 Report Posted October 2, 2013 Is that an update.app or a flashable zip?
Guest Market88 Posted October 2, 2013 Report Posted October 2, 2013 It's an update.app inside the zip
Guest TangerineTractor Posted October 2, 2013 Report Posted October 2, 2013 It's an update.app inside the zip Hmmm. Wonder what the changes are, and if it`s possible/worth applying to a custom 196-based rom...
Guest Market88 Posted October 2, 2013 Report Posted October 2, 2013 Inside the zip there are updating instructions pdf. This is an image i fount inside the pdf. Someone can explain me the meaning of that 1.2 GHz??
Guest KTMrid90 Posted October 2, 2013 Report Posted October 2, 2013 1.2 ghz processor?!? It's a stock rom with a overclocked cpu??
Guest bogdanwp Posted October 2, 2013 Report Posted October 2, 2013 1.2 GHZ means that it`s from G510 :P
Guest Cristian_berme Posted October 2, 2013 Report Posted October 2, 2013 Tried to install vía fastboot: update failed. Had to make a flasheable zip with Huawei Update Extractor. About the overlock, it's not overlocked. LOL. And about the ROM in general, notification toggles doesn't work without universal vendor fix (obvious), and I don't see anything new, so it seems to be just a small update from B194.
Guest Market88 Posted October 2, 2013 Report Posted October 2, 2013 About the overlock, it's not overlocked. LOL. It was too good to be true... :-)

Well B196 is noticeably faster and better battery than 194, so you would hope that its better than 196! Any chance of uploading hte flashable zip? Shared.com is quick and easy to use!

Guest Y300-0100 Posted October 2, 2013 Report Posted October 2, 2013 (edited) I just flash it too. Same problem with notification toggles edit> I just wipe all except system. Then restore all except the system and boot from my previous backup and notification toggles is there so as everything else from my backup... Edited October 2, 2013 by Y300-0100
Guest TangerineTractor Posted October 2, 2013 Report Posted October 2, 2013 I just flash it too. Same problem with notification toggles I don;t use the toggles anyway - I install power toggles - I have a backup of the ones I want, and restore them on a new rom - they`re cleaner, and more configurable. I don;t wan`t lots of toggles - I just have volume, wifi, torch, brightness and rotate. All neat, no scrollbars or anything...
Guest RXZ Posted October 2, 2013 Report Posted October 2, 2013 toggle works fine for me.. nothing noticeable new features in this rom feels like 196.. hmmm :ninja:
Guest H3ROS Posted October 2, 2013 Report Posted October 2, 2013 The changes might be noticeable as theres been changes to media processing, camera, webcore etc.
Guest Cristian_berme Posted October 2, 2013 Report Posted October 2, 2013 (edited) Flasheable zip uploaded. Download link: https://shared.com/9dpbivpetn?s=l Notes:IMPORTANT: To keep the ROM as stock as possible, I added all .img files to the zip file, including recovery. That means that flashing this zip file will install stock recovery too, but you can install TWRP again easily flashing the img file from here via fastboot. The ROM is not rooted also. How to fix notification toggles missing: Just flash this through TWRP https://mega.co.nz/#!c9UXkJob!UnIsQXX1jnbRunhcbNgrmSI6istLmpA0sDp3KjY6NjY (Thanks to SymAnd) [WARNING: THIS WILL FORMAT DATA]. But I have not test it. Edited October 3, 2013 by Y300-0100
Guest nirmalbalaji Posted October 3, 2013 Report Posted October 3, 2013 I just asked about the origin of the firmware. For example B190 Middle East Firmware, B196 Northeast Europe. Not the upgrading process.
