Guest DJPRMF Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 (edited) Benchmark more that once after (and if possible, before) apply the tweaks. The results may change in many situations (like depending of what apps do you have in background). But, in the general usage, will see a much more smother system, no matter what score. :) Edited October 9, 2013 by DJPRMF
Guest cryptoncore Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 (edited) Its work now but only now i test with antutu Whitout tweaks 4887 Whit tweaks 4784 but i guess is very fast now I'm certain performance would not be affected negatively, what ROM and what benchmarking utility? Anything running in the background? Edited October 9, 2013 by cryptoncore
Guest kovani Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 Will these tweaks are compatible to my GB895?
Guest DJPRMF Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 (edited) Will these tweaks are compatible to my GB895? Yes, it should be... :) Always make a backup, just for sure.... And make sure that use the "performance" file related with the rom that is in use (Stock based or CM/CM based). ;) Edited October 9, 2013 by DJPRMF
Guest kievo Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 Now i don't have any sound, just static noise... What should i do?
Guest DJPRMF Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 (edited) Now i don't have any sound, just static noise... What should i do? What is your ROM? Try re-flash the audio file ONLY. (clean always the cache/dalvik) If not working, restore the backup and use only the Graphic and Performence files for now. I will post more details after know your rom. ;) Edited October 9, 2013 by DJPRMF

Guest DJPRMF Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 Mine is cyanogen 9.1, but ill try re-flash thank you In CM 9.1 should work without problem. I have added a "help" section in the main topic. Check it out to see if helps. ;)

Guest DJPRMF Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 (edited) Doesn't work... and i dont have a backup rom, isn't there any other solutions, like install another drivers? NEVER start changing your phone without a full backup! Is the first rule of any modification! Have read the help section? If doesn't help reflash your rom and apply only the performance+graphic files Edited October 9, 2013 by DJPRMF
Guest rhen Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 Doesn't work... and i dont have a backup rom, isn't there any other solutions, like install another drivers? You can flash the latest CM 9.1 over your actual ROM, then wipe the dalvik cache. This should fix your problem. (do a backup first. Always do backup!)
Guest kyan31 Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 IT WORK'S :D Tested with Antutu both after a fresh boot, here are my results: BEFORE APPLYING THE TWEAK - (Result was 3961 if you can't see pictures) AFTER TWEAK HAS BEEN APPLIED: (4015 If you can't see pictures) Looks like this is a keeper! thanks a lot! :D Note: Audio quality seems amazing also. Can you post an image of the details? I have a feeling that the score is boosted because of the dalvik wipe, not because of the scripts themselves
Guest DJPRMF Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 (edited) kyan31, i think isn't (only) from the clean of the dalvik cache. You may notice a more fluid system, games and apps even months after clean the cache for the last time. I have all the files flashed in my ROM (CM 9.1) almost two months now, and i still have the same performance as the last time i clear the cache. So i don't think that affects the performence in this case. But nothing like test for yourself. :) When possible i will post a screenshot from my end. Edited October 9, 2013 by DJPRMF

Guest DJPRMF Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 (edited) The last time i clean the cache/dalvik was when i flashed the files ( +-two months ago) Here they go: Edited October 9, 2013 by DJPRMF
Guest bidzapfc Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 I hope you will take this as a kind advice Instead of flashing this crap from some xda developer, try to make your own mod. It's little difficult to make updater-script at first but you'll manage. Read what those files do and make it better. Test it. Expand your knowledge. Audio package doesnt work, plus it breaks on CM (because of DSP manager, or so it is said) Pure graphics (and this I know from my experience) doesnt add anything but making your touchscreen more responsive (usr/classes/touchscreen). I dont even want to mention hoax in build.prop lines, if anything they are only slowing things down even more And pure performance of all things... Try to run any large app? Try to put adblock? You wont be able, plus it will agressively kill services in background (such as dsp manager or volume boost)
Guest DJPRMF Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 (edited) bidzapfc, have tested the files in YOUR phone? In a daily usage? Also, i don't see any hoax in the files. adblock works fine (tested myself). And never had any problem with "aggressive" killing of apps in background. Im not a developer. I only have shared this to help others. And, as you can see in the messages, it have helped. Also, check the uptime of the apps in background (my phone uptime is the same): Doesn't appears to be killing the background processes aggressively. (doesn't have isntalled any Task Killer? Or any other mod that could be causing that? ) Anyway, that is not a aggressive killing, at least for me :D Edited October 9, 2013 by DJPRMF

I did test all this... do you do heavy multitasking? Or are you a gamer? My impressions are: it's unusable on CM. Because of audio package. Try to play some large game that you could play on gb. Or, play music and go online on fb or browser. With background service such as dsp or volume boost. That will prove if this mods really work or not. For gaming or multitasking. I did test it and my only conclusion is: we can do, and make better.
Guest DJPRMF Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 (edited) its your opinion. I respect that. :) As i said, tested in CM 9.1 (last nightly), since two months, without any problem. Much faster and smother in any app. And if you use the G300 with GB, ICS or JB to any heavy game or app let me said that your doing it wrong. :P G300 is NOT for big games (not even with the best rom in the world)... This is not a Galaxy S4 guys. :D The G300 is a entryline smartphone, not for big games or apps. :) Of course, you never will be able to playa big game in G300, no mather what you tweak... Guest DJPRMF Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 (edited) did anyone tested it on CM10.2? Personally, i just tested in CM 9.1. But it should work in any CM Rom. Just make a full backup and go for it. :D Doesn't harm ;) Let us all know your results. ;) Edited October 9, 2013 by DJPRMF
