Help with stock ROM

Hi all, I have a doubt and would like to clear it! I am using a ascend y300-0100. It is rooted. I am using MIUI v5 rom for now! Before that I have tested all available roms that are posted in this forum! Before doing anything I backed up my stock firmware (b175) via TWRP. I have restored it once and it is working good!

 

But my question is that, as I have changed my default recovery to TWRP at the time of rooting, will the "dload" method of updating the phone with stock firmware still work? I mean If I restore my b175 firmware now and lest say Huawei releases an update next week in INDIA say b197, will I be able to update the file downloaded from Huawei website with their software update app? placing the dload folder to sd card and then update??

I saw somewhere that dload works for any rom. But not sure about the source! Please enlighten me! thnx!

Yes sure you can do 'dload' method in any rom.

I once rooted and removed and tweaked and did so many things,but finally end up with all force close.

and flashed b175 indian version and i'm good to go.

Note: Dload method will erase every thing to stock. Even installed twrp will be gone.

You have to reflash it.

Yes, your phone will be pure stock.

Can get to service without stress.

1-Yes the dload method will work

2-Your bootloader will remain unlocked, so you can easily reflashed a custom recovery but before flashing a custom recovery get all the OTA Updates because OTA will not flash any updates if you have a custom recovery.
