Guest SH3H1 Posted October 27, 2013 Report Posted October 27, 2013 Backward porting huh?? Cool.... but with old kernel...??? gives really different view.
Guest bogdanwp Posted October 27, 2013 Report Posted October 27, 2013 (edited) I really really like the idea. I made a thread some time ago about backporting ICS and GB . They have their fair share of qualities so why not. Thank you Shockey Edited October 27, 2013 by bogdanwp
Guest bogdanwp Posted October 27, 2013 Report Posted October 27, 2013 Tried to flash it , gets into bootloop
Guest bogdanwp Posted October 27, 2013 Report Posted October 27, 2013 Yes i did , got a BSOD and bootloop :D
Guest TayoOnabule Posted November 20, 2013 Report Posted November 20, 2013 (edited) Any news on this ROM? No problem if you've left it. But I was using ICS on a friends phone yesterday and I kinda liked it :P Edited November 20, 2013 by TayoOnabule
Guest mnupea Posted November 23, 2013 Report Posted November 23, 2013 FTW! why u want ics having official jb? That doesn't make sense 4 me. Maybe backwards (y300 rom on g300) whould be better :p
Guest andrea2107 Posted November 23, 2013 Report Posted November 23, 2013 (edited) Do you want ics?you can flash a stock based g330 ROM,but for fix the ril you have to use your libcm.so from /system/lib and you have to recompile audio driver for audio...same for my g330,if we flash a y300 rom no audio and no ril,but in the cyanogen is fixed, not the same in y300 stock rom Ps:this is not a port XD,this is a g330 ROM posted in a tread,we in the stock rom have the same kernel Edited November 23, 2013 by andrea2107
Guest Yaqubyahya Posted November 23, 2013 Report Posted November 23, 2013 (edited) ICS would be blazingly fast on the Y300, why not? Is this still in development or has it been left Edited November 23, 2013 by Yaqubyahya
Guest TayoOnabule Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 I'm starting to get into rom development, so fully porting this ICS may be my first public project. i'll start on wednesday :)
Guest bogdanwp Posted November 25, 2013 Report Posted November 25, 2013 Thanks and good luck TayoOnabule ! I`m sure this rom would be blazing fast on our phones.
Guest andrea2107 Posted November 25, 2013 Report Posted November 25, 2013 Thanks and good luck TayoOnabule ! I`m sure this rom would be blazing fast on our phones. Not so fast on g330... So laggy....
Guest bogdanwp Posted November 26, 2013 Report Posted November 26, 2013 Not so fast on g330... So laggy.... Really ? That sounds weird , that phone seems to have the same hardware as Y300. When i had a Galaxy Gio , ICS was maybe 5 times faster than JB
Guest bogdanwp Posted November 26, 2013 Report Posted November 26, 2013 Can CM 9 from G300 be ported to our phones ? Or it`s not compatible ?
Guest Szczurek_1976 Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 (edited) Looks very good . Edited November 27, 2013 by Szczurek_1976
Guest vladandrei51 Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 If anyone that installed is kindly enough to tell us 2 words about this rom would be awesome. Obviously this can't be a daily-use rom but i'd be fun to test. btw, is there any further development going on with this rom?
Guest bogdanwp Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 (edited) Vlad Andrei i don`t think it works . It gave me a blue screen and a bootloop . Maybe i will try again although the lack of RIL is very off-putting for me. L.E. : I really hope TayoONabule started work on this. It would be great to have ICS Edited November 27, 2013 by bogdanwp
