Guest execpwd
I know little about S-OFF and S-ON ... but what I know is that it's ON on HTC devices, and that this 'S-ON' prevents 'AdAway.apk' to create hosts on my phone and I have no other idea how to block ads... Anyone has any idea how to 'S-OFF' the Acer, or what other ad blocking software is available out there ? Thank you kind sirs. My best regards ! Guest spoondro
It`s very simple: use AdBlockPlus. Take it from here: https://adblockplus.org/en/android-install

Guest Ivan69
Thank you very much. I used AdAway, and it gave me the S-OFF / S-ON error. You're probably having this error from AdAway because your system is not set as RW but as RO Browse the forum, I was able (but at the moment I don't remember how) to set it as RW following some instructions here, and infact I'm actually using AdAway without any issue Edited October 31, 2013 by Ivan69
Guest execpwd
So there's the problem... I am now using AdBlock Plus, and it's pretty cool... I will try to get adblock to work your way ( through system R/W ). Thank's Ivan.
