Guest danny19901 Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 I think it may be possible to get a fastboot cable should possibly work or see if you can enter fastboot vol + and power keep hold if not I would recommend trying a fastboot/factory cable these work on a lot of devices and worth a try there a few quid but may save your device

Guest fartfire Posted November 8, 2013 Report Posted November 8, 2013 Hey guys, I am looking to install custom rom on my y300 because it being root with nova launcher, it just lags like hell. So if I manage to brick my phone, I will need a fastboot cable to 'restore' it into working condition?
Guest SH3H1 Posted November 8, 2013 Report Posted November 8, 2013 Hey guys, I am looking to install custom rom on my y300 because it being root with nova launcher, it just lags like hell. So if I manage to brick my phone, I will need a fastboot cable to 'restore' it into working condition? Not everytime. It depends on if your phone hardbricked or softbricked. It's rare to hardbrick which causes damage to your phone hardware or important part such as bootloader. Eg: Some people said swap bricked their device. But i highly recommend you to check one thing. Go to Settings > About phone > build number ( Which is huge but we only needs last 4 term. BXXX ) And backup your current rom before flashing another one. If possible download original rom from huawei as a backup plan( using BXXX ) Try pretty stable if you are not familar whith these.( I recommend FusionX ) Hope helped
