G510 problem - screen turns off in call

Hello dear friends,

My new G510 has a problem,

My screen turns off while receiving calls or calling someone,

and I can't turn it back on, not with the touch screen nor power/volume keys.

I tried to change to CM10.2 - but no dual sim support, so I went back to stock rom.

 

Please help.

You sure it`s not the proximity sensor turning off the phone? It`s supposed to do this when there`s something covering it , like your finger or ear. It`s on the top middle side on the front. If you mean that it turns off by itself without your interaction , i`m sorry i don`t know the answer to that :(

I know about the proximity sensor... it's not that - physical buttons are not working also

I have the same problem!

 

Recently got a Huawei Ascend G510 and everything is working well, except for the exact same issue " liord4" is having. 

 

The screen turns off whenever I take a call or receive a call. The Volume button and the power button doesn't switch the screen back on either.

 

PLEASE HELP.. Im so fustrated... :(

Sorry friend,

I returned it for replacement, I believe it is manufacturer problem (hardware/software).

Bought from aliexpress twice - first - version 100, second - version 10.

The second has this problem (the first works fine)

What do you mean by Version 100 and version 10? Are you talking about the model no? or some software version?  Sorry for my lack of knowledge. Im a bit new to smartphones. :

There are several versions out there -

Dual sim card:

1. G510-0100 - The one that works fine

2. G510-0010 - The one I had problem with, look here for the model (behind the battery):

I bought a Lenovo k900 in Etotalk, went I received the pone I realised it was broken, then I sent it and 2 months later I haven't got the phone, I will never again buy in Etotalk. In ebay ias cost 100 euros less.

G510 TO Much fault my phone keeps restarting just now, it goes to the home screen then a few seconds it will restart again and same thing goes up to now. I tried hard reset it says that Emmc read only, you cant update your system.

You can disable proximity sensor and got: turned on screen during call + no blackscreen after call, but don't touch screen with cheek.

execute: chmod 000 /dev/proximity

on every boot or flash this initd-noProximityMedia.zip

Do you have unlocked bootloader? Have you tried hard reset from stock or custom recovery?

You can put this device into the trash because the emmc chip is dead, i had the same problem with Huawei Ascend G630, but first try these advices from Adeii

I have G510 having problem in my phone automatically restart turn on back work only 5 minutes then phone again restart, and i also try to reset phone but same problem not solve it.

Do you have that problem with G510 connected on power supply or PC ? If it is the first battery, it is about 6 years old.

Do you have the same problem in airplane mode (no data, no call, no wifi, no bluetooth) ? How about in recovery mode?
