Can you store music or books on it? … You can use SD card without rooting. You can store music, photos and other data without rooting. However if you'd like to move apps to the SD card you'll have to root
Guest jsknight100 Posted November 8, 2013 Report Posted November 8, 2013 How do you move books & music onto the SD card? I have downloaded music onto Play Music. Can I transfer music (using ES File Explorer) on to the SD card? Will Play Music be able to locate the music on the SD card?
Guest greyrider Posted November 9, 2013 Report Posted November 9, 2013 Books, I've found "Moonreader" will take them from the external SD card. "Gallery" picks up videos and images from there, no problem as does "Play Music" once you tell it to. I transfered several files across from my PC using ES File Explorer, long press on the file/s you want, opt to "copy" browse to mnt/external_sd and "paste" there. When you select the file/s a popup appears asking what you want to use to open them with a once or always option. Hope that helps.
