cool. - I took apart my Y300 as well, I wanted to etch away a bit more of the window where the Notification LED was to make it brighter and more noticible and achieved that. The only downside is that when I put the phone back together I found it hard to put lead back onto the board from the volume switches 'forced it' and resulted breaking the contacts! - so my volume buttons dont work at all on the phone now but as a work around I downloaded a volume app that I can adjust on screen so no worries.
