I downloaded this, copied the UPDATE.app according to the instructions, but the actual upgrade consistently fails - spends a minute or two saying unpacking, then Upgrade Failed.

 

What am I doing wrong?

 

(I also can't backup when it suggests I should, I always get failed there too. Although GoBackup has no problems. There's plenty of space - more than 17Gb! - on the SD card)

I think for many of us stock rom means Fusion X :) you should try it . Going back to stock emotionui can be buggy unless you got a flashable zip than you can use via twrp.

No you can't :P

The only official update.app from Huawei I came across was the B175: http://www.huaweidevice.com/worldwide/technicaIndex.do?method=gotoProductSupport&productId=4178

 

The "trick" was to copy the UPDATE.app into the root directory and into the folder dload on the sd card :excl: . Then to press and hold vol + and - while switching on...

I have been able to install a stock ROM, but I still have TWRP recovery.  I need the phone to be like when I received it in the box, as it needs to go in for repair.  Does anyone know how I could achieve this?

Download corresponding update.app for your phone and put it in dload folder in your sd card switch off press vol down/up/power and you are good to go

Can you please help me - I've tried the normal upgrade mode and the force upgrade mode but both times it is getting stuck on step 2 of 2, with message "update failed" - any ideas?  Thanks
