Guest soulhand Posted November 21, 2013 Report Posted November 21, 2013 I downloaded this, copied the UPDATE.app according to the instructions, but the actual upgrade consistently fails - spends a minute or two saying unpacking, then Upgrade Failed. What am I doing wrong? (I also can't backup when it suggests I should, I always get failed there too. Although GoBackup has no problems. There's plenty of space - more than 17Gb! - on the SD card)
Guest mockingbird Posted November 21, 2013 Report Posted November 21, 2013 I think for many of us stock rom means Fusion X :) you should try it . Going back to stock emotionui can be buggy unless you got a flashable zip than you can use via twrp.
Guest soulhand Posted November 21, 2013 Report Posted November 21, 2013 Can I install fusionX without unlocking my bootloader? (I have the unlock code so it's just sheer laziness that's stopping me unlocking it)

Guest TinaEire Posted November 26, 2013 Report Posted November 26, 2013 (edited) The only official update.app from Huawei I came across was the B175: http://www.huaweidevice.com/worldwide/technicaIndex.do?method=gotoProductSupport&productId=4178 The "trick" was to copy the UPDATE.app into the root directory and into the folder dload on the sd card :excl: . Then to press and hold vol + and - while switching on... Edited November 26, 2013 by TinaEire
Guest maniv Posted December 2, 2013 Report Posted December 2, 2013 I have been able to install a stock ROM, but I still have TWRP recovery. I need the phone to be like when I received it in the box, as it needs to go in for repair. Does anyone know how I could achieve this?
Guest SH3H1 Posted December 2, 2013 Report Posted December 2, 2013 Download corresponding update.app for your phone and put it in dload folder in your sd card switch off press vol down/up/power and you are good to go
Guest Posted December 2, 2013 Report Posted December 2, 2013 Hi MasterRck Can you please help me - I've tried the normal upgrade mode and the force upgrade mode but both times it is getting stuck on step 2 of 2, with message "update failed" - any ideas? Thanks
