Guest targetbsp Posted December 30, 2013 Report Posted December 30, 2013 Here's my lists. I think I'm a little more aggressive in what I delete. I like barebones. :) Can delete: http://forums.thedigitalfix.com/forums/showpost.php?p=9911811&postcount=147 Might be able to delete but I use them so I haven't tried: http://forums.thedigitalfix.com/forums/showpost.php?p=9911813&postcount=148 Don't delete*: http://forums.thedigitalfix.com/forums/showpost.php?p=9911818&postcount=149 *You can actually take out messaging if your replacement apps has the appropriate option to completely replace it.
Guest jimmy2x2x Posted December 31, 2013 Report Posted December 31, 2013 Forgive my ignorance, but if you remove some of these suggested apps - can you use that space for different apps? Thanks
Guest targetbsp Posted December 31, 2013 Report Posted December 31, 2013 The apps are on the system partition and user apps go on the data partition. You will free up some space on data by removing system apps as those system apps data will also be removed. The main advantage of removing them is to free up RAM and generally not be bugged by stuff you don't want. Technically you can put user apps in system if you wanted but there are better solutions for getting more data space - like using ext partitions.
Guest djfnz Posted January 1, 2014 Report Posted January 1, 2014 FM.apk , FM.odex ??? This is the FM Radio Player!!! If you delete this the radio not working!
Guest targetbsp Posted January 1, 2014 Report Posted January 1, 2014 (edited) I'm from the UK. No-one has used an FM radio here in a decade. But as the post says "All of these are safe to disable but obviously don't disable stuff you use" :) Edited January 1, 2014 by targetbsp
Guest Jeff 66 Posted January 1, 2014 Report Posted January 1, 2014 I'm from the UK. No-one has used an FM radio here in a decade. I'm from the UK too. I listen to FM radio all the time. As do many people I know. There are some things I listen to that are only available on FM.
