Guest demez Posted January 28, 2014 Report Posted January 28, 2014 Hey guys so last night I installed Cexstel kernel and I don't know if it did something but now my phone is acting weird. I've tried a few different roms, I've tried to format internal and sd card and start over. My internal storage is fine now but my sd card is showing as a usb storage now and I have to format it with windows but Android won't make the folders for me anymore on the card. Before I installed AOKP and it was showing my 32gb microsd as the internal storage and the phone storage as the sd card. How can I fix this? Is there a way to erase everything, bootloader, etc. and start over again? Does the kernel get removed when I install another rom or is that permanent until I flash stock back?
Guest ZolaIII Posted January 29, 2014 Report Posted January 29, 2014 Kernel is in boot.img & yes every rom you install it goes with new one. Card is corrupted! Format it (with phone or partition tool on PC)! Possible reasons is forced hang up while IO whose busy...
Guest demez Posted January 29, 2014 Report Posted January 29, 2014 I formatted it with the phone, it didn't change anything, did it with the phone and same result. Now the phone shows that my sd card is being inserted and it comes up in the storage menu but it's showing as a usb storage.

Yes Try to find a "firmware" (not a repack) for your region (cantry, operator) & flash it. This is not going to be easy! Bat this basically means that problem is not related to SD card... B. No Try to properly format it on PC & test it on a PC.
Guest demez Posted January 29, 2014 Report Posted January 29, 2014 The card works fine, my phone just seems to have issues with it now. I formatted it last night with HP USB tool, took a few hours, made sure there were no errors or issues on the card. Then I flashed the new AOSB rom, when I go in storage it shows SD card again so that's good but when I connect my phone to my computer with the usb cable it shows my sd card as internal storage and the phone storage as sd card. When I go into my settings on the phone it shows internal storage total space 1.11gb, then sd card total space 1.05gb, and then internal storage again total space 29.71gb. And the phone still won't create any folders on my sd card after formatting. I can try flashing with the stock firmware that came with the phone again and I'll see if that helps.

Guest demez Posted January 29, 2014 Report Posted January 29, 2014 Well I flashed the stock rom, everything seems to be back in the proper order now, for some reason it still won't create the SD folders on my card, I guess I'll just have to manually create them.
