Guest TheKisama Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 So, Jolla(a group of ex-Nokia employees) is releasing Sailfish OS for android devices very soon( I believe it was announced on friday) . Sailfish OS looks fantabulous and it supports Android apps as well as Sailfish apps. If this gets ported to Y300/G510, do you think it will be running smoothly or just as laggy as MIUI or LewaOS (Although Sailfish OS is completely different from those as it is not Android, sort of). Here is a demo of it running on a Nokia N950:- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dba13jdR_zA ermagerd i hpoe somebodee port dis to y300.
Guest ZolaIII Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 Well they are releasing it for older hardware so it should be smooth. Actually I more want to see what will happen with Ubuntu phone.
Guest TheKisama Posted February 24, 2014 Report Posted February 24, 2014 Its available for n4 too! Yeah I noticed that too. :D pretty cool eh? Since Jolla themselves are releasing it, I guess it will be far smoother.

Guest nirmalbalaji Posted February 24, 2014 Report Posted February 24, 2014 Sailfish OS is pretty smooth, interesting and can surpass Windows Phone if they have enough support from OEMs.
