I removed much of the Chinese bloat with app master after installing gapps. You'll have to change language to English in options and select Google keyboard as default input method.

I also disabled bulletin service (built in Chinese news) in home settings>bulletin. Seems a little slow at 1st but more stable than lewaos5.

 

Antutu gave me 8454 with G510-0100.

 

Nice selection of themes to download direct from china with built in app.

3G working.(Irish vodafone tested)

This is a ROM that works and a valid option for users looking for something different.

EDIT: after a finish a call and try to make another it says "call not set" not sure what this is maybe someone can help it stops a new call being made. (DOH)

 

Gonna use an alternate dialer from store until i figure it out.

If you have a dual sim u8951 this probably will be fine.

its due to the rom has Chinese baseband installed. you need to flash the eu baseband to get it sorted

Oh look another rom ... kewwwl. No really , i flashed it , looks very nice , performs smoothy looks like the first USABLE Chinese rom lol. rsgametech , haven`t tried placing calls yet but what you are saying seems to be the usual problem with Chinese roms , that they have Chinese baseband and they need flashing European baseband. It`s around here somewhere. Cheers

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/huwl712xw5avqjf/f1R5aY3XOn/lewacallfix.zip this flashable zip fixes the baseband on Lewa os 5 which is also android 4.1.2 so it also might work. for this rom. I will try it tomorrow if someone else doesnt try it earlier ;)

Edit: btw does the camera also works? It didn't worked with lewa is for the Chinese version of the y300. If it doesn't works I'm not even going to try this...

 i tried the lewa call fix and the rom is working perfectly, for the camera is working fine, even bluetooth, wifi, hotspot, for 3g data u have change in build prop cdma_gsm by umts_gsm, so u cam easily check  in network mode wcdma only, gsm only or wcdma/gsm auto

 

the only minor bug is that the computer dosnt reconise the internal memory , only the sd card that is reconised, i hope that will be fixed in next builds.

 

for the battery it has a goog battery duration(life). u can find the last build for this rom  here http://pan.baidu.com/share/home?uk=4278772253&view=share#category/type=0

try the lewacallfix not the eu baseband, this lewacallfx will fix the problem of hangup

i tried lewa baseband, but it did not work at all. accidentally, i find out basesband for g510 010, and it works, even if i am from romania (i know that g510 010 is designed only for china). ok, it does not matter, important is that it is working right now, only some issues with baidu keyboard.

u can change keyboard by another from playstore, i recommand u a huawei keyboard

i allready change the keybord. everything is fine. i like this rom, i think i will stay with this one for a period of time.
